Hotel Bellevue

Hotel Bellevue Lucerne is a 3 star comfortable bed & breakfast hotel located on the outskirts of Lucerne , just 4 km/2.5 miles from the city center. A bus stop is located only a few meters away. The Bellevue is the perfect starting point for tourists and business travelers alike. Close to the city center, but still in a quiet and natural setting it is the ideal place for excursions around the magnificent Lake Lucerne and for open-air sports activities. The convenient location along with the proximity to the Swiss Transport Museums , the Lido bathing beach and the ships landing stage, only a few minutes drive or a 15-minute walk, makes the stay at this hotel all the more pleasant. Other than a personal service, a cheerful staff and a cozy atmosphere, Bellevue Hotel also offers amenities such as wireless Internet access throughout the building as well as modem Internet access in the common areas.

Very pleasant family hotel
We stayed here for 3 nights. Our triple was very spacious and comfortable, great for a mother and 2 college age daughters. The included breakfast is very good - a nice spread, with boiled eggs, very good croissants, breads, cold meats and cheeses, jams, yoghurt and fruit. Considering the price of restaurant fare in Lucerne/Switzerland in general, this was a huge plus. We always tucked away a big breakfast before heading out on our day-hikes. The room view was mainly obscured by the new hotel in front, but there was a little segment of scenery visible between buildings. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and you can buy excursion tickets from the front desk and get guidance. The main downside is that there are no lower-price food choices nearby (all the lakeside restaurants are pretty expensive) but you can catch the bus from the stop just outside the hotel and walk away from the lake to find some reasonably priced choices. They are going to add information to their very helpful guest folder on how to get takeout food etc delivered to your room - something we would have liked one rainy evening after a days hiking!
Great for families - the rooms are very spacious
