"Just ok"
The room had a musty smell and I had to keep the ac at full blast for a day before the smell was gone. The items in the complementary breakfast were limited. However, the hotel staff were pleasant.

Simple but clean and comfortable
The hotel was clean and comfortable with friendly service. Easy access to metro system---bus and subway. We’ve stayed there twice and would stay again.
Go off season if possible. It’s less crowded and usually cooler. Pre-plan your trip throughly. Can’t say enough about pre-planning. Some places require getting date and time specific tickets. The tickets are usually free but a small processing fee is charged. It’s worth it. Use the meto. It gets you just about anywhere you want to go. It’s clean, safe and less expensive than the tour buses.

Horrible motel. Stay away!
There was junk left outside my room: old carpeting, broken televisions, etc. The next door had a party going on until 3:30 a.m. the first night I check in (I think it was housekeeping). My kingsize bed was queensize. One of the towels in the bathroom had a dark stain on it. Plus, getting to and from the Pentagon metro station was insane. It may look close on the map, but you have to somehow get by a freeway to get there. You have to know the bus system in order to get out there( the motel doesn’t have a shuttle to the station).Also, the neighborhood was pretty bad. There was a free clinic just behind the motel. I don’t think I’ll be going back to D.C. but if I was, I would find a hotel or motel in a different area.
