not good
Staff was inconvienced by us checking in and out, i interupted their gossip session. The rooms were not clean upon entering and the halls had a strange smell.

Not impressed
I have stayed in this hotel with my family for two nights. The indoor pool is small and the waterslide looks old. There is no hairdryer and no wireless internet in the room. Even at the lobby, sometimes the wireless still has a problem. The breakfast is fine, nothing fancy. Front desk is friendly.

Plain but good
This hotel, while plain and not having the latest updates, was clean, well kept and had the promised amenities. The pool was clean, but constantly busy, due to the waterslide. Some families were not policing their children and this contributed to the chaos of the pool area. Staff, when alerted did their best to control the situation. We found the night desk staff to be very friendly and responsive, day staff a bit less so. The rooms were clean, albeit showing their age. Breakfast was decent (biscuits/gravy, cold cereal, muffins, toast, fresh fruit, coffee, milk and juices)and the staff tried to stay on top of the food levels. Overall, this was a good choice for us as we wanted a clean place to sleep and a pool for relaxing and this is what we got. I would suggest making advance reservations as the staff said they are full most nights, especially during high tourist season, due to their proximity to Mt. Rushmore and other attractions. If you are looking for a clean place to stay with a pool and basic amenities this is a good choice. If you are looking for turn-down service and four star amenities, keep looking!
