Could be a lot better
Overall, one could argue you get what you pay for... However, the BIGGEST disappointment about the Andrew Jackson Hotel was the condition of the bathroom and the absolutely filthy floors. After showering and walking about the room for 5 minutes, the soles of your feet were literally black!!!!

Great location for access to Royal & Bourbon Sts. as well as rest of the French Quarter. Limited parking for quests. Be prepared to park and walk 6 or more blocks. Not a problem with good weather.

Most quaint and comfortable ,very friendly staff have stayed numerous time,clean rooms ,donuts, coffee and cereal every morning,only suggestion is, would like full length mirror in room. Love this place will stay again and again!!!

Great shopping right out the front door on Royal St.very easy to everything,shopping, food and great night life on Bourbon St, can walk to everything,including the CC’s coffee Shop.Love ,Love, Love

This place would be hard to beat for twice the money!!!
Honestly for what I paid, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was even a little worried. Man was I pleasantly surprised!!! The Andrew Jackson Hotel was beautiful, quaint, comfortable, and clean. The staff went out of their way make sure everything was to my liking. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. And in my humble opinion,... some of the nicest people I’ve meet anywhere. The location is great. Just one block off Bourbon, St., two from Jackson Square and the river and just a 5 minute walk to from Canal St. Now I know some of you are going to want me to complain about something. So, the ONLY thing I could have wished for is an exhaust fan in the bathroom. The mirror fogs up after a long hot shower. Even my 15 year old daughter liked the hotel, and she doesn’t like much of anything. I guess she can give the best review,... she wants to go back and stay there again as soon as we can, and I agree. Our trip was conceived on a Sunday and we were in New Orleans within 48 hours. Expedia and the Andrew Jackson made it easy and enjoyable!!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
If you find somewhere in the French quarter you like and might want to return, ask for a business card. There are so many shops, bars and restaurants that its hard to find your way back. (besides,... the cards are great memento’s)
