Not Exactly What I Expected!
For the price, I was expecting a different atmosphere. We stayed in nicer hotels for about $30.00 less. The room was nice, but again, I was expecting something else, I guess because of the name- I thought it would be more ’antibellum period’ hotel, or something! My ’visualization’ was not reality!

Small Tow, Rich History
I usually stay at another location, but it was time for a change. I knew Staunton was awarded the Main Street America Award and was going through many historical restorations, which I believe the Stonewall Jackson Hotel was apart of this restoration. Stonewall Jackson is unique hotel, because I enjoy architecture so much I really appreciated this building. The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledge. Room service is never interrupting -- I like to sleep in while on holiday. The restaurant is one of the many elegant places for dining. I recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stonewall Jackson Hotel and Conference Center Staunton VA
The hotel has just been renovated and is beautiful. Our stay was wonderful and the hotel is in the downtown area within walking distance to the beautiful Blackfriar’s Playhouse (A Shakespeare Theater), Sunspots (A glass blowing shop), Woodrow Wilson Birthplace and Mary Bladwin College. I am planning on taking some friends back for a weekend retreat.

Stonewall Jackson Hotel is just a few miles off I81 in the middle of downtown Staunton Virginia. Frontier Culture Museum and farms are located right off I81.
