Solid Choice for Sorrento
Belair is a solid choice for Sorrento. Best features Incredible cliffside view of Bay of Naples, Sorrento, and Mt Vesuvius ( worth the choice alone) Very friendly and helpful staff Extremely clean room Nice pool and common areas Within easy walking distance to town center (10 minutes at stroll pace) All rooms face bay, we slept with patio doors open each night. (and there is nothing between you and the bay...no streets...so it is incredible peaceful.) Solid breakfast with an incredible setting... Not perfect... The hotel was built in the 60s and is old...But with that said, it was extremely clean and the views from your room and balcony more than make up for the dated decor. We will definetly stay there again..
Traveler's tip on dining
Favorita Parrucchianno (glass house restaurant) was outstanding for both the service setting and the food Close second to the glass house restaurant was the Forestieri with good food and outstanding view if you eat on the terrace

Great value in a prime location
Loved my stay at the Hotel Belair, beautiful views in a spacious room and easy walking to the heart of Sorrento. Breathtaking views in the breakfast area and wonderfully helpful staff. Minor problem with the hair dryer (cord was worn through. I was surprised they didnt check for things like that.) But would definitely stay there again and will recommend it to anyone I know traveling in that area.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The Sorrento area has loads to see. Definitely go to Pompey, Vesuvius, Naples and Amalfi coast. If you have to skip something, dont bother with Capri. Time consuming to get there and too much of a tourist trap for views that werent any better than what Sorrento has to offer. Sorrento is by far the best option to stay.

Delightful Experience
We choose this hotel on the basis of recommendations shown via Expedia - could not have been more satisfied. Views from the veranda where A+. Breakfast on the terrace each morning was like a scene from the movies. Very easy to find once in Sorrento. Only negative experience was the recomendation from a previous Expedia traveler to try the nearby restaurant, La Fenice. A major mistake. Service was poor, food mediorce, waiter was rude.
