Facilities are great, location good, service average
This hotel is very conveniently located close to the bund, and also close to People’s square, so you can get everywhere just by walking 10 minutes to the closest subway station. The surrounding neighborhood is not that nice, so just getting outside of it is OK. There are some chain restaurants around, so that is convenient anytime of the day. The quality of the room is very good, they even include a PC in case you need to use the internet and didn’t bring yours, which was helpful to me. The only problem is that it doesn’t have updated software and doesn’t let you install anything so some webpages don’t display correctly. The only thing that was average was service and that’s because that’s the standard in China. The concierge give you information but probably not the most convenient for you, but they are open to help you out.

Great location!!
Its a great place to stay and its very close to important atractions in Shanghai, people is very nice in the hotel but not everyone talks english.

Nice location
The thing I like most about this hotel is it’s location. It is within walking distance to both subway and the shopping area. It’s also very close to the Bund - not a pretty site now because a lot of constructions are going on for the world trade show next year. Many nice restaurants are located nearby. The hotel service is good but not terrific. The room is clean. Most taxi drivers don’t know about this hotel so you have to let them know the major intersections. I highly recommend this hotel and would go back again.
Traveler's tip on dining
Go to the shopping malls. Most of the great restaurants are located on the higher levels of the malls.
