Woul not stay again

This is an older unit and was perhaps another brand when new. It is showing it’s age, but was clean and suitable for the one night. The "breakfast" left a lot to be desired so we did not eat there and went next door to the Denny’s. I would not stay here again as there are better places for similar dollars.

Where to stay in Albuquerque on budget

For the traveler on a budget in Albuqueque the La Quintan is the place to stay. m It close to resturants. Right off of I40. The rooms are clean snd well maintaned. Best place to rest on long distance road trip

Find another place

The front office staff-some young men- were either hating their job or just plain miserable. I barely got a "hello" out of them when I checked in and not even that when I checked out. The room was about 95 when I entered and it took about 10 hours (my stay) to finally cool down. No thanks and I won’t be back.

Good hotel

The hotel was clean nd well kept. The staff was very nice. There is a lot of construction going on right next door and will continue for over a year. However, it was quiet at night.

Not impressed - Too many issues with room

When I checked in @ 2am, I noticed right away that the air conditioning was running full blast and the room was icy cold despite it being cool outside. Turning on the heat also had little to no effect. TV set in the room was unwatchable as the picture kept flickering off and on every few seconds. The hot/cold water knobs on the shower were also incorrect and reversed, with very poor water pressure. In addition, the hotel maintenance staff was continually rolling their cart back in forth countless times outside the room during the early morning hours, making it impossible to get any sleep. I have had good luck with La Quinta hotels in the past, but this is one I will never come back to again.

Best Price for the Balloon Festival

Close to the mall to get to the balloon festival. Nice breakfast.

Non-smoking room smelled

We asked for a non-smoking king room but it was it had 2 double beds and REEKED of cigarettes. Also, the room was small, dark and dank. Our clothes smelled like cigarettes after only one night in the room. They gave us a new room the next day which was much cleaner and smelled better.

Nice overnight stay

I stayed overnight on a long multi-state drive and found that the room was clean and quiet. The staff were friendly, courteous, and prompt.

Could have been better

Mt room and the service was good but the remote to the TV didnt work and i exchanged it but the second didnt work either.

big room

The room was large and comfortable. I think this hotel had recently been renovated. The breakfast was basic continental, but there is a Denny’s in front of the hotel, if you want more than coffee and muffins/cereal. The hotel is just off the two very busy roads, so it could be a bit noisy. However, if you are not going to be in your room much, this is a good place to stay.

Much better than anticipated

With the price we paid for the room everything exceeded my expectations. We were close to everything we needed in town and the staff was friendly and helpful with directions.

So So

The first night we were there the room was bad (Very unpleasent smell). My husband even had an asthma attack and the person working the day shift was very unhelpful (she said there were no other rooms). At 5:30 in the morning I went to the fornt desk to check out and find somewhere else to stay but the gentleman working the night shift was nice and said they had several vacent rooms and gave us a different room The second room was very nice and I would recomend it again.

OK for a night

They did us a favor and upgraded us to a suite because they don’t have roll-away beds. The closet in the room had a door falling off it’s hinges. Not much water pressure and the temperature went from cold to scalding in a micro second.

A little dissatisfied

The room was dirty and had absolutely no toilet paper. There were large crumbs on the carpet. There was hair on the bathroom floor and a band-aid stuck to the tub stopper. I called the front counter to advise and the young lady told me to go to her counter to pick up some toilet paper. Upon arriving back to the room on Saturday evening, there was a bag hanging on the outside of our room door. It was towels. They left the towels hanging on the door handle to our room for who knows how long. Unacceptable. We chose La Quinta because I felt it was worth the money to get a clean safe room. It was definitely not clean and not worth the rate.

Good No Frills Hotel

Positives: Cheap, Clean, and Close to the relatives I was visiting. The room was fine and clean. My wife forgot her razor and was able to get one from the front desk. Their free continental breakfast was simple but helpful: bagels, cereal, muffins and coffee. The AC worked well. The maids did a careful job cleaning. Negatives: the Front desk staff was helpful if they were around. Upon checkin and check out I had to find someone to help me. Otherwise who knows how long I would have stood there. The kink size bed was spongy and springy and the pillows were inadequate and flat.

Pretty good for the price

I thought the room was very clean, but the front desk person was very unfriendly. Contiental breakfast was packaged muffins & bagels, nothing to get excited over, but not bad for the price.

Below Average

This location is below average for LaQuinta. Primarily, the age of the facility and having exterior entrances to the rooms. The complimentary breakfast was not well stocked.
