Home away from home

What a pleasant surprise to find a clean, quiet, safe and comfortable hotel with a gracious staff very near 2 metro stops and the Arc de Triomphe. "Extras" included an adequate complimentary breakfast and tea-time buffet. There is no spa, pool, fitness center, restaurant or bar, but it is surrounded by restaurants, shops and bakeries. We will go back some day.

GREAT STAY AND A VERY NICE PRICE!!

WE HAD A WONDERFUL STAY AT THIS HOTEL: IT IS VERY WELL LOCATED, IN NICE AREA, WITH LOTS OF RESTAURANTS CLOSE BY. THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY, THE HOTEL NICE AND CLEAN AND WELL KEPT. THEY OFFERED US BREAKFAST AND TEA BUFFETS, AND WE HAD INTERNET FOR FREE, WHICH WAS VERY CONVENIENT. WE HAD A GREAT TIME, VERY REASONABLE PRICE FOR PARIS AND CAN NOT WAIT TO GO BACK...

Traveler's tip on local attractions

WE USED THE HOP ON/OFF BUS TO MOVE AROUND PARIS. USE THE GREEN LINE, AS IT OFFERS MORE STOPS.

It is as good as advertised

My family (me, my wife and my daughter) stayed in the executive suite (for 3 persons) last week. The hotel is as good as advertised. To our surprise, they offered free breakfast and dinner for the duration that we stay. Both of the breakfast and dinner are buffet style of "continental breakfast". Just up and down the street of Saint Honore, there is a French bakery stores named "Boulangerie" where you can get very good French bread and pastries. The staff of the hotel are friendly and helpful, best of all, they can speak English. It takes about 7~10 minutes walk (depend on your speed) from the bus stop of Air France’s Les Cars; where the bus picks you up and drops you off for the Charles De Gaulle airport. The cost is 15 euro dollar per person. (I was told it costs 45 euro dollars for the taxi to the same airport.) Nearby, there is the metro station named "Charles De Gaulle-Etoile" which is one of the major metro station that allows you to go every major tourist attractions in Paris. The weather of Paris was excellent in the late April, you will need a sweater for the early morning and late evening. Parisians still wear light coats and jackets. We got help from many Parisian who can speak English; nevertheless, sometimes we did have hard time to communicate to Parisian who does not speak English. I guess it will help your trip in Paris if you can speak French!

Traveler's tip on dining

Hop on the metro, it can take you to the famous "Latin Quater" where you can find many restaurants offer 3-course meals for 15 euro dollars; however, the restaurant may impose almost 20% of tip on you and the meal may not be as good as you’ll get from a more expensive restaurant. It is true, sometimes it is difficult to communicate with the waiter or waitress in English.
