Lovely little Gem w/great atmospherics.
The staff was extremely professional and courteous and moved me to a new room upon arrival when they discovered (unbeknownst to me) that my tv wasn’t working properly. Everyone (and I mean everyone) was so incredibly helpful and courteous. The location can’t be beat and the breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day. I would stay here again and have recommended this hotel to my fellow travellers going to Istanbul in July. The showers were fab too...great water pressure!

Not Impressed
This is a tired, old property whose only redeeming quality is location and proximity to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia tourist attractions. The photos, description and presentation of the property are deceiving and misleading. Most rooms are tiny with barely enough room to walk around the bed. The air conditioners are barely functional - you have to leave them running constantly to get the room to cool off and if you are on the top floor, getting blasted by the sun, they are minimally effective. There is a roof top "restaurant" where breakfast is served and dinner at night. If your room happens to be directly underneath, you can hear people moving around, pushing chairs in or pulling them out and even the musical performers - not too appealing if you plan to go to sleep before mid-night. While I was there, a wedding took place directly above my room with a band and 50 guests - impossible to sleep and totally unacceptable in my view. The breakfast is served in an open air setting without "chill platters" or refrigeration for any of the food - in 90 degree summer weather, this is unsanitary and each day bees and flies were swarming the fruit. The staff was friendly and accomodating - but given the utterly disappointing rooms and food, this was little consolation. The worst part is that I would have expected much more for the high room rates. I would never recommend this to anyone.

Delightful!
This hotel was perfect for our (fairly high) standards. Very clean, comfortable, warm (in winter) and great service.
