My family and I loved Mendon Mountainview Lodge
My family and I recently stayed at Mendon Mountainview Lodge for 2 nights (8/09). The room was large and clean, and the beds were comfortable. The free breakfast was plentiful and tasty. There was almost no staff as this was off-season, and one lady seemed to be doing everything; but she was very friendly and helpful. We had a very nice vacation. I would definitely stay here again.
Traveler's tip on dining
There are few restaurants and or nightspots open in Killington at this time of year. But McGrath’s Irish Pub is a great choice for dinner and weekend entertainment, and it’s only 1/2 mile from the lodge. They have a nice menu selection, lots of beers, and friendly service. The live Irish music on Saturday was great fun.

Very nice! Highly underrated.
I suspect the only reason this hotel has a **1/2 rating, is because they don’t have the yuppie decor and uniforms. That aside, the staff was beyond friendly and helpful. The room was confortable, and the play area and lounge were confy and homey. I’d go back there in a second.
Traveler's tip on dining
The breakfast at the hotel was very affordable (only $4 for kids), and a nice way to fill up before the Ski trip. Dinner was a bit pricey, but the food was wonderful. Best steak I’ve had in years.
