Not impressed
This hotel was absolutely awful. The area in which the hotel was in is wonderful so you figure this would be a nice accommodation. Though it is understandable that this is not a modern hotel, the rooms were not set up efficiently. The bathroom was located in a different room rather than inside my hotel room. No one tends to the front desk and when you call the front desk it takes forever for someone to answer. So I was concerned about safety. The room was not alright by any means. It was decent but glad that I was at work most of the time rather than be in this hotel. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone. The staff are really unhelpful

That wa the worst hotel experience in my life
I have never ever imagined that the hotel in London could be as bad. The room was very old and definetely deserved a full refurbishment. It was small as well. My window was facing thecourtyard and I could hear a noise from any other rooms in the building - it was hot and all windows were open (of course there is no airconditioner in the room). And, there was no shower or toilet in my room !!!! I had to cross the corridor shared with another room in the block to get in there. It was really bad. And the price was just a couple of squids less than the price of Danubius - 4star hotel located in walking distance. I would nevere recommend anyone to stay there.

Nice quaint comfortable hotel
A bit noisy - but that is unavoidable so in the heart of London. The accomodations are simple but clean. The staff is extremely friendly and quite helpful and kind. Very good value for the price.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Unless you want to show off theres no need to pick a 5 star hotel to be comfortable in London. Much like buying a house - location is everything and being in the heart of London near to the tubes is worth giving up a little glitz in hotel. Get a pass that will let you on and off the tubes and trains for the length of your city stay.
