Ok for the money, but not 4 stars
The hotel is close to the main bus and train station, and while not in the Old Town, still close to it to make getting around easy. We had a corner room with 3 windows; it was small but nice. The furnishings, finishes and fixtures seemed new, however the "design" concept seemed to focus too much on form and not at all on function. For example, there were no towel hooks, anywhere. You couldnt hang the towels on the doors, because they were too tall. There was no fan in the bathroom. And the bathroom was practically IN the room, just separated from it by a plexiglass partition. Awkward. Not very sound- or smell-proof at all. Plus, there was no lock of any kind on either the bathroom or the shower door. If the shower hose was used and you werent careful, the water would spray out through the showerdoor right into the room. The safe in the room didnt really feel like a safe: it wasnt bolted down to anything. The breakfast was good. Now, for the service. This hotel has the most indifferent (verging on unfriendly) front desk staff I have ever seen. Every time we returned to the hotel, I would greet the front desk staff with a hello; they wouldnt even raise their head. Annoying. Overall, ok for the money, but does not feel like a 4 star hotel.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Avoid Lobkowicz "palace" in the castle. Pitti in Florence, Borghese in Rome, Belvedere or Schoenbrunn in Vienna - those are palaces. Lobkowitz palace is a pretender, not a contender...

Centrally located, in a quiet neighborhood!
This hotel is amazingly beautiful, comfortable, chic, and fabulous. Just a few blocks from almost everything you need to see in Prague. Next to the Hlavi Nadrazi, in the very quiet neighborhood in central Prague. I would not mind staying here again, in fact, I would try the same boutique hotel located in New York.
