Rouen - inexpensive hotel for the traveler
Good hotel for the price. Right across from the train station. 8-10 minute walk to medievel town. Has elevator. I had a car and parked at train station for about 12E/night. There was off-street parking but it was not recommended to me. Train station area feels safe in daytime, but a little seedier when night comes.

clean and cheap
The hotel is right across from the train station but virtually no noise. You can not miss it. All rooms have a private bath. The rooms with showers are small. There is just enough room to walk around the bed. The rooms with bath are bigger and have a desk and chair. The bathtub is glass enclosed for taking a shower. Warning, the rooms are not air conditioned but have a window that opens.
