Incredible Service
We went to this hotel at the beginning of the "off" season in late September. Their service was incredible, and the views from the hotel were gorgeous. The morning breakfast buffet is well worth the inclusion in your room rate, as it is a comprehensive offering of just about anything that you could want. The restaurants were quite pricey but offered excellent food choices. However, we were disappointed to discover that their definition of a king bed was two twin beds pushed together, as this was our honeymoon.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The port and town of Altea itself is a ten minute taxi ride away and slightly beyond comfortable walking distance. Without a rental car, your options for activities are limited by the cost and availability of local taxis. It is important to note that attractions and services are GREATLY reduced in the autumn off-season. Not all locations may be open, except for on the weekends.
