Get Ocean View
The hotel is right on Moonstone drive, across the street from the beach. The only way to stay at this hotel is with one of the four rooms that front the beach. They all have small terraces, two chairs, and a small table. The hotel doesn’t offer food except for a continental breakfast so we stopped at a gourmet shop in Pismo Beach and picked up wine, cheese, pate, bread, chocolate, etc...and had a picnic on our terrace. Nice evening, though always chilly in Cambria, even in July.

A Hotel for Cool Times
Nice location, nice people. Our only concern was the fact that there was little ventilation. One window, but no fans or air conditioning. I guess it must never get warm there, but if it does, I would want to be somewhere else.

Nice room, with plenty of amenities (fridge, microwave, gas fireplace). Small & friendly.
