Guest House
We took our honeymoon in Florence and stayed here because we didn’t want to deal with the traffic and noise of the city itself. When considering this guest house, please remember it is not a full service hotel at all, and perhaps nothing that you’re accustomed to. It was quiet , pleasant, and the staff are very accomodating, however. Its situated on top of a mountain or large hill overlooking Florence and is surrounded by Olive tree groves. Its a nice alternative to a busy hotel in the city and although difficult to find at first (even with a TomTom GPS), we found our way and used the public transportation (Bus) to get into the city several times. For what it is, I am glad we stayed there, and would do so again.
Traveler's tip on dining
The guest house has a list of restaurants that are good and fairly close by (via car) and we tried several all with great food and dining experience. The Guest House’s breakfast(Continental type) is included and was nicely done by the inn keeper.

Beautiful View
The view was great, located in the hills outside of Florence. A little hard to get to. You either have to take a taxi everywhere, bus or have a rental car. And do not expect much help from the front desk. There is a person there part of the time. But, she does a good job when there. Therefore you are pretty much on your own. It is better if you are an experienced traveler. Although we will be staying there again. The rooms are large and roomy but, sparcely furnished. Very quiet and peaceful to get away from the fast pace of the city. No restaurant or bar yet, maybe in June "2008".
This is a good hotel for children, due to the fact that you have a suite with two rooms.
