Excellent
The ElDorado is a oasis from the hustle of Santa Fe. The service, in all areas of the hotel was absolutely on spot. My husband and I took advantage of the many spa services, fine dining and friendly staff and wouldnt have changed a thing. We travel often and find travel has become difficult in many ways, but here, at the ElDorado you can truly relax. We enjoyed an expansive balcony which overlooked the mountains and the rush of the streets below.....Perfect!

Not impressed given the cost
We have stayed at this hotel in the past and have found the service acceptable. This stay was as before. Although service is adequate, it is not commensurate with the cost. Parking is valet only at a relatively high cost and is quite inconvenient. The restaurant (Old House) is acceptable. We were celebrating a birthday; salad poor, entree excellent dessert totally unacceptable. Overall rating: mediocre. My advice: stay in Albuquerque and drive to Santa Fe for the day.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Albuquerque is less than an hour away and offers much better shopping, dining, and hotel facilities. If you must eat in Santa Fe, pick one of the run down Mexican Restaurants that offer the typical tourist "Santa Fe atmosphere". For fine dining, stick with Albuquerque.
