Not as advertised
The bathroom was the size of an airplane toilet, not joking! No phone in the room; no safe; no cable; breakfast was not included - however, all of this was advertised in the hotel brochure. The bedding on the full sized bed was twin sized, so it didn’t fit. The directions from the Vuxhall station were not complete and it wasn’t easy to find our way. The room reeked of smoke. We’ve traveled a lot in Europe so we expected the room and bathroom to be small, but the bathroom was ridiculous!
The day before we left, we got our kids up at 2:00am Texas time - which was 8:00am London time. That way they slept on the 9 hour plane ride over and were ready to hit the town when we arrived at 7:00am in London. Staying close to a tube station is always good. Visit some of the small museums - the Guard museum, the Calvary museum, the mews... Our 10 year old twins enjoyed those along with feeding the squirels at Hyde park. You’ve got to do that!!

Definitely not a boutuque hotel
More like a basic dorm room. This hotel is the other half of a popular American budget chain! It was clean, but the lights kept shutting out on me. The desk attendent explained that there were still things to be worked out with the electrical switches - some didn’t work at all. The location is quiet, but if you are a solo female, you won’t want to walk much in the quiet neighborhood. TV had 3 channels. Bathroom was a closet added to room - toilet and shower shared a space the size of a shower stall and were only separated by a plastic curtain. Staff is nice and they will sell you beer and drinks, but pictures much nicer than it is.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Buy an Oyster card and use it to take the Underground from the airport.

Be brave - take the underground from the airport, try the fresh sandwich chains like Pret a Manger and farmer’s markets for a cheap meal, and visit all the free museums.
