Good but had many downfalls
My husband and I went for our anniversery to hang out by the pool and relax. The weather was freezing so no pool time. Which was for the better b/c the pool pic on the website is not a reflection of the real pool. It looks like a motel pool. Went to the spa instead, it was fabulous! Construction in the room next to us. We complained and they only brought us chocolates. Dinner was too fast past and do not know the proper way to serve. We ate 3 courses in 30 minutes, they served my husband first, and brought me 2 dishes I did not order.

Really a wonderful interesting hotel and area.
If you are looking for a wonderful place to get away to this is it. It was an old ranch/hacienda and it retains that atmosphere. John Wayne and Presidents have stayed their over the years. We stayed in what the resort calls a Hacienda Suite and it was spectacular. Lots of hand hewn wood and mexican tile. A view to the very green golf course and mountains is spectacular. The restaurants at the resort are excellent. One is a steak house in the original stables of the hacienda called "Stables" and the other with Mexican Cuisine is next to the old silos, calles "The "Silos". If you love shopping in artist colonies, Tubac is your place. 90 shops and restaurants. Two beautiful old Missions, one restored and one a museum. They will spark your spiritual side. And finally, Mexico is only a few miles away. Wow, what a place.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Do your research before you go. Look up Tubac on the web. Find the Missions, Missile silo, towns and boarder crossings before you go. Then plan your day or days. There is so much to see it would take many days to do it justice. So plan your travels. The arts and crafts will take a couple days all by themselves.

Recommend Highly!
My husband and I live North of Tucson and had reason to spend a night in Tubac recently. Always enjoyed visiting the resort for lunch or dinner and decided to spend the night. We had a great time! Our "hacienda" room was charmingly decorated and very, very comfortable. A combo of Mexican and Southwest decor but tastefully done. Had fun time in the Stables bar with terrific entertainment and friendly staff. Dinner at Dos Silos was excellent. Its only an hour from our home but were planning on going back for a full weekend and just relaxing and enjoying the spa. Were not golfers but the course looks lovely.
