An absolutely wonderful stay
My husband and I spent five nights at Dar Ayniwen in early October and it was one of the very best -if not the best - places weve ever stayed. The villa itself is lovely, with beautiful Moroccan tile and woodwork, and the several acres of grounds are gorgeous - olive and fruit trees, a koi pond, tropical birds, romantic outdoor dining with delicious food, and a pool that we swam in every day after we returned from long, hot walks in the city. Although we had booked a regular room, we were upgraded on our arrival to our own separate villa near the pool, with living and dining areas, two bathrooms, and its own private garden and hot tub. Real luxury! Although we had originally intended to eat more of our meals in town, the setting at Dar Ayniwen was so beautiful, and the food so good, that we ended up eating the majority of our meals there. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Stephane, Aziz and all the others went out of their way to help with anything needed, and provided transport to and from town immediately upon request every time. They also arranged a car and driver to take us on a day trip to the foothills of the High Atlas mountains, which gave us a chance to see a little of the Moroccan countryside outside Marrakech, including spectacular mountain scenery and Berber villages. We hated to leave and would love to return.
