perfect location
My wife and I had not visited Exeter before but were delighted with the fact the hotel is right in front of the Chathedral. We ate in Michael Caines cafe (out front actually) and had a very reasonably priced meal. We were able to walk from the train station-10 minutes of level street walking. I should add that there was a music festival (rock) on the area in front of the Cathedral the night we were there and we didnt hear the music even though we went to bed early: the beds were good as well.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Redcoat tours are right in front of the hotel and one is close to shopping of all sorts. Go to evensong-what a treat-boys and mens choirs
