Great location, Great Staff

The Hotel was convienent to Downtown and to the area I was doing most of my business. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful in finding locations around the area.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

I was staying for about a week and can only recommend that if you are planning to stay for this lenght of time you select the Residence by Marriott next door only for the added ammenities. (Kitchen, Etc.)

Extremely Clean, Friendly and Comfortable!

Probably the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff were great and the beds were so comfortable, my sister and were trying to figure out if we could take the mattresses home! LOL Great place, will recommend it to everyone I know! Thank You Courtyard Marriott for making our trip to Sacramento Fantastic!

Our hotel room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel restaurant breakfasts were very tasty. Another great stay at a Marriott Hotel.

Party Hotel

Loud parties each night, not effectively managed by hotel security, left us with little sleep and no desire to return.

Very Convenient

We were attending and event at the Cal Expo Fairgrounds so we wanted a hotel that would put us close to the fairgrounds. This hotel was perfect. Easy to get to off the Highway, right on the grounds so we could walk to our destination, and a nice restaraunt within the hotel. There was also an outdoor pool, though small, to enjoy during the hot afternoon, but there were no towels at the pool so we just went inside to the hosecleaning cart and got them ourlselves. It was quiet, clean, plenty of room, very reasonably priced and appeared to have been recently and attractively updated. Very nice.

It was nice...but....

We stayed at The Courtyard by Marriott while visiting some friends in Sacramento recently. There are 3 hotels in the same area--same parking lot basically, all by Marriott, so make sure you know which one you’re going to. We were greeted warmly by the front desk staff, despite our late arrival. She even made some good suggestions about local places to eat/drink, etc. So far, so good. We get to the room which is near the elevator...looks nice. Clean. Basic furnishings. Bathroom looked good. Seemed like a thumbs up. When we get to bed that night, I realize that our room’s close proximity to the elevator was BAD. This elevator GROANED and CLUNKED and RATTLED ALL NIGHT LONG! My husband and I got little sleep. So...be sure to ask for a room far, far away from the elevator!

Same location as 2 others with Marriott name

There are three "marriotts" at this location. The signs are small and I originally went to the first Marriott to check in and was told I wasn’t registered. When I returned with the confirmation, the clerk directed me to the other Marriott behind the this Marriott. No biggie, just a little confusion from not expecting three hotels with Marriott in the name all in one location. My room was lacking blankets - it seemed the quarter length comforter must have been for the summer heat and the weather was cold over the march weekend of my stay.

GREAT HOTEL - LOOKS NEW

Had a wonderful stay. The room was VERY clean and VERY comfortable. The staff was VERY friendly and makes you want to stay there again. The lobby was excellent with a great seating area with a flat screen TV and computers and printers for limited usage. The free coffee in the lobby was excellent as well. Overall, a GREAT PLACE TO STAY. Keep up the good work.

Very Nice

I have always liked the Courtyard by Marriott and this one did not stray from that. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and spacious.

Quiet and clean

The hotel was comfortable, clean and quiet. It was also conveniently located close to a freeway. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and recommend the hotel.

Positive Part: The Hotel Staff was very helpful and friendly. It’s easy to get to Sacramento attractions from the hotel. There was an ATM inside the hotel. Breakfast selection was nice. Negatives: The bar in the hotel has 5 liquors...that’s it. The bartender didn’t know how to make ANY drink and plus he didn’t have the neccessary liquor to make them. The room didn’t have a frigerator. The room didn’t have travler sized shampoos and conditioners. Room service was hard to get a hold of since they didn’t speak English. The rooms are over priced in comparison with the services the quality they offered.

It was fine.

The hotel is like all Courtyards, very easy on/off the highway.The food was decent. The staff was friendly. We booked an extra night, that went smoothly, however, when our bill came under our door the next morning it had my credit card info and someone else’s name. It took 2 trips to the front desk to fix it (and 40 minutes of time, that hurt since we had a flight out of San Francisco that morning.)

Will Stay Here Again

After having a not so great experience in Salt Lake City, I was a bit apprehensive about booking a hotel site unseen again. However, the price was great and we were pleasantly suprised on the size, condition and appointments in the room. The bathroom was small but adequate and the service was great. I will look for a Marriot Courtyard again wherever we travel.

Close to Cal Expo and really easy to find. Too bad they didn’t have shuttle service.

Clean, well maintained; superb staff attitude.

Desk manager sent us to the wrong hallway for our room (opposite end of the building); profusely apologized and provided a complimentary breakfast in compensation. All the staff had a great attitude and seemed attentive to customer needs. Room was good, but someone paced the floor above us until 5 AM and was easily heard on our floor; not sure if we were under the hotel laundry or what was the cause.

Next to the Cal Expo and easy access to Interstate 80.

Ok hotel

The hotel decor is decent compared to what I would expect from a Marriott hotel. My only complaint is that both computers in the lobby were not free and not working. I needed to print my boarding pass, and luckily I was able to use the computer at the front desk for that. If I were in a time crunch, I would imagine how that would be annoying.

Our second stay here

This is a very clean hotel centrally located near many attractions in Sacramento. It is also near freeway access to get you anywhere you’d like to go. We enjoyed the outdoor heated pool and hot tub too! This will be our place to stay whenever we come to Sacramento.

I would stay again....

The absolute only downfall was the breakfast. We were under the impression that is was a continental breakfast that was included w/ the hotel stay. After sitting down to eat our breakfast we received the bill, which was very over-priced. I was very disappointed w/ that.

Comfortable and in a fantastic location

We stumbled upon this Courtyard hotel when we were booking a trip to Sacramento for a wedding. The location is great...just off the interstate and right down the street from a great mall (Arden Hills) and a water park. Due to the proximity to the mall, finding restaurants is a breeze. Closet space was a bit limited in our room, but two travelers with a lot of stuff (dresses, suits, workout clothes, etc.) were certainly able to make do. Workout facility was open from 6am - 11pm and is accessed with your room key (no extra charge)...included two decent treadmills, one bike, one elliptical, stack of free weights up to 30lbs, bench/shoulder/incline press machine and multi-use leg machine. Parking is free. Didn’t use the outdoor pool and hot tub, but they looked nice. Parking is free and there are plenty of spaces. I think the mattress was memory foam, but don’t quote me on it (comfortable either way). I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone...would gladly stay here again.

Check out the Napa Wine Train if you have a free day. It’s a long day if you add a winery tour, but very pleasant and relaxing.
