The hotel rooms were superior to the villas in decoration and restoration. Resort amenities abound. Additional shops and restaurants are within 2 minutes of the grounds.

Awful service, Immaculate rooms
The staff at Sawgrass, with the exception of the front desk, were rude, nasty, and acted as if the customer were a nuisance. One particular afternoon, we waited over an hour for appetizers without any acknowledgement of the inexcusable wait. Eventually we received lukewarm, overcooked, and overpriced shrimp and a salad. This was consistently the brand of service we could come to expect at the Sawgrass Marriott and they lived up to our expectations every time. On the plus side- the rooms were bautifully appointed with fine linens and tasteful decor. Ponte Vedra Beach is a great vacation spot, and unless you’re there specifically to play golf, stay somewhere else.
