Elegant Hotel
The Fairmont Banff Springs was an incredible hotel, with excellent service, food and views. The hot springs pool(s) were an unexpected pleasure. Meals are expensive. Travel surrounding areas for nice views of wildlife. Nearby Lake Louise is worth the drive.

the hotel was beautiful’ setting was extraordinary; when we checked in we were already checked in as I had the presidents club; we have a pet so they gave us a room on the 10th floor which was fine with us;it was a great experience and we would stay there again

a world class hotel
Built in the late 1800s to lure European aristocracy across the Atlantic, then by train to the "romantic" Canadian rockies, this hotel still retains much of the glamor of a by-gone era, combined with modern amenities. The staff will not accept tips, but their responsiveness is impreccable. Perhaps only the wine selection is a little narrow, being mainly confined to the Okanagan valley; but after all, that is part of the pleasure of travel, to sample local vineyards.
