Lovely Beachside Motel (Not Resort)

This little place right off highway 101 offers rooms with full ocean view and partial ocean view. It can be had fairly inexpensively in the off season. Although the name is Seacrest Resort, it is in no way a resort. It is a motel with a pool on the beach. There is no bar or cocktail lounge or spa services. There is a Marie Calendar’s restaurant next door for dining. This was a great motel, but it is a motel and I think potential visitors should know that. However, it is in close proximity to Pismo Beach shopping and restaurants. We walked there along the beach and it took about 1/2 hour. Ocean view rooms have lovely little balconies for watching the sunset over the ocean. Free wireless internet is tricky, but the support company is spot on. This place was a good value for the price.

Pismo Beach in November

We received a fabulous deal using Expedia. The hotel has been updated, and the room’s furnishings were modern. Bed was quite comfortable. We had a wonderful view of the ocean, and the weather was perfect. The continental breakfast could be improved upon, but overall we will visit this hotel again.

Great Hotel for a Great $$$

This hotel was very nice. We have stayed there many times but this was the first time to book with Expedia. They have updated all of the rooms and it is in a great location with beach access. We went in the off season so there were not a lot of people there which was great! I only had one issue with the tv. They have the new tvs up and the satellite box is behind the wall and it was difficult for the box to pick up the signal from the remote. Other than that it was a wonderful place and we just love the pool set up. They have three hot tubs that overlook the ocean and a nice pool. Continental breakfast in the morning is nice too.

Nice Beachfront Hotel

Well located hotel with easy access to Hiway 101. Everything was just fine, and we would go back again. Some Freeway noise, but not too bad. Except for that, the room was very cozy and quiet.

Good deal

I booked the hotel due to good reviews. The exterior and lobby made me wonder if they were true. The room was very nice and the view from the garden and pool area is amazing, but the construction site for the new deck took away from that. The hotel is conveniently located off Highway 1, close to the Pier, Pismo Beaches and the Monarch Grove. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Driving along Highway 1 in late Oktober, early November was much nicer than in the summertime. Fantastic light for pictures and hardly any traffic and Pismo has the most amazing beaches. Great stop-over for travels from So-Cal to San Francisco or vice versa

great hotel with a nice view

This hotel was in a great location. Close enough to walk to the pier, restaurants, and shops but also away from the crowded beach area. The view from the pool and spa are fabulous(can’t see much when you are in the pool). Nice landscape. Hotel was remodeled so was in good condition with modern features(flat screen tv hardwood floors wifi and more) We came with our two children(11, 70) They had fun playing in the pool, throwing a football around on the beach,watching dolphins out in the ocean, and talking to people fishing out on the pier( they showed us what they had caught and fed a fish to the local pelican, Goldy )They hotel was fairly queit (not many kids) We took advantage of the free breakfast and although we would normally eat more potatoes eggs and bacon we enjoyed it and it held us over till lunch. They had hard boiled eggs, cereal, oatmill, toast , bagels and fruit with juice and milk. We sat outside on the patio overlooking the ocean and watching the dolphens play around in the water. It was great! We really enjoyed ourselves and the weather was just gorgeous! We were there only one night and will be going back The only thing disappointing was the beach ...not clean white soft sand. I remember enjoying the sand before. This time it was almost muddy and hard. Overall a great stay. Would recomend this hotel it has great location, free parking, beautiful grounds, free breakfast, and is updated and clean

we will bring something to bbq next time. we enjoyed eating breakfast out on the patio and we asked about the bbq’s they had out there. they said just bring what you need. there was a fridge and microwave. we also ate at splash-great clam chowder and at a japanese restaurant for tepanyaki

this was a great stay for my new wife and myself , i will go back again .

Great find in Pismo

This was our 27th anniversary (we met at Cal Poly) and we wanted to do something romantic at a reasonable price. This was the perfect find for us. Room and view were awesome and the staff even better. Location is off the beaten path but still on the beach and a short walk to the pier and downtown. With 3 jacuzzis we could always find some privacy or party by the pool. Good central location for day trips to San Luis, Santa Barbara and everywhere in between. Highly recommend the SeaCrest to couples or families.

Clam chowder at the Splash Cafe, and get it in the bread bowl! Yummm.

Perfect

This hotel is very cute and updated on the inside, doesn’t look so nice on the outside, but definately worth while. Comfortable cute room, just off of the california beach. Beautiful view of the ochen from every room.

What A View

Almost every room has a beautiful room of the ocean. The grounds are set up with multiple seating areas to watch the sunset and they have provided stairs down to the beach area. Walking distance to restuarants.

Life is a Beach

and this hotel is a peach!. Enjoyed our stay. Older hotel but tastefully redone. Front desk attitude was amazing. Maid service was above what we expected. Location was awesome. Breakfast left much to be desired but there is a Marie Calander’s right next door that is great. Great cookies in the evening. very enjoyable stay.

You have to try Mo’s BBQ! Splash Cafe has the best Chowder and Hogie’s has the best fried clams and fish and chips. This is just a start so come hungry.

Honeymoon bliss.

The rain forecast made us rethink our plans for a romantic first night of our honeymoon camping along the california coast. As a last minute change, we found this awesome hotel. Seacrest kindly upgraded our room, for a very small charge, to a third floor, ocean view room with a balcony! We were blown away! The room was well decorated, cozy and comfortable. We slept listening to the waves all night and woke to seagulls and more waves! Go to this hotel! stay in the towers!

go into town for breakfast. Marie Calenders next to the hotel provides room service. Make sure they bring you lots of napkins, knives and forks.

Great place...recently remodeled!

Get for business trips...get to see and hear the ocean at the end of a long work day! Comfortable and safe.

Very Pleasant...

Our room was very up to date. The beds are VERY comfortable and The room had every thing we needed. The breakfast was also quite nice and the view of course was fantastic!!

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

The Hotel is in a Great location. Great for heading to sights up north (San Luis Obispo) or south to other beach towns and shopping. We had a very nice stay there.Very laid back.

it was ok, not my top choice in that town

Everything was nice, except... during the night, there is this ongoing wind sound, not sure if it’s from air ducts or what, but it was annoying and hard to sleep to that when all I wanted to hear was the sound of the crashing waves. Not impressed with the continental breakfast, very limited, and when I asked if that was all they had, the guy made me feel very uncomfortable, like I shouldn’t even have asked.

Beautiful room and awesome location

We booked a standard king-bed room and got upgraded to an ocean front view room--needless to say, that was a big bonus. This aside, the room was clean, very modern in everything from tv to shower. The ipod deck was great too. The only area for improvement would be its breakfast, which is a little shabby. The hotel is right next to the beach.

Good place to stop

Stopped here as a pit stop on our way up the coast. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and we had a great nights sleep.

Wow this was a great place at a great price. Probably will not stay anywhere else in the future.

Excellent Value

The Seacrest has a great location, right on the beach on an easy walk to the pier. Our room was large, attractively furnished and well maintained. We opted to upgrade to the second floor with a view of the ocean and I highly recommend this. The only downside was a very uncoordinated continental breakfast where they ran out of everything including coffee! One can only hope this was a fluke.

The large pool and several hot tubs along with the beach make this a good choice for families.

Disappointed

My family has frequented this hotel for 20 years. The front desk service was always friendly and efficient. The new owners have poured money into redecorating, doubled the price, and then completely understaffed the desk. It took us 20 minutes just to check in! I had to wait another 20 minutes later the same day just to ask a question at the desk. I am now searching other hotels in this area to find a new place for my family and I to "call home".

Room carpet spotted,burned - could not put bare feet on - good otherwise

Resort condition and service very good. Room likewise good except for filthy appearance of the carpet. Staff apologized but full census and short time span prevented correction.

Very happy with hotel!

Second visit to this hotel this summer. Both visits were 2 night stays. Haven’t been disappointed so far. Service has been friendly and the location is great.
