Villa Michaela

The 4 star Villa Michaela is a very large; listed early nineteenth century frescoed villa designed by the famous Lucchese architect Lorenzo Nottolini who was also responsible for the celebrated aquaduct; which used to bring the water down from the hills. Nestling in 50 acres of pine forests; olive groves and pine forests; the villa lies about 8km to the South of Lucca and has extensive gardens; a floodlit tennis court; a large swimming pool and several different al fresco dining areas. The main house accommodates 24 people in twelve double bedrooms and 10 en-suite bathrooms. All guest rooms have a lovely English country feel to them and they are all individually unique. They are all extremely spacious and boast stunning views of the Tuscan countryside as well as being equipped with a desk; a telephone and high speed internet access. The surroundings are completely rural and tranquil but guests have the convenience of the village bar; shop and restaurant being only a five minute walk away. There are also the Stables-Coach House where our wine cellar and wine tasting room is located; and the Annunziata Chapel; now consecrated for Anglican wedding ceremonies; which is of historic and artistic interest. Villa Michaela has its own chef and staff and is perfect for family gatherings; weddings and corporate off sites. The Villa also hosts a number of week-long stays where you will be shown some of the surrounding areas hidden treasures; or take part in our Slow Food week; where we rediscover the joy of appreciating our exquisite food as it should be. There are 20 outdoor private free parking places available. Additional Information; Children aged 4 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding.
