From Owatonna MN, Recommends this hotel
We had a seven day get-a-way the first week in Novermber. It didnt seem to matter that it rained most of the time. It was a lovely time. This was our 18th time into Mexico. This property was the best that we have ever stayed at. Very new and up to date rooms, exceptionally clean. Views from patio were amazing! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food in the Specialty resturants was good, food in the buffet was very good with several choices. Try the Mexican Red wine!
When booking our travel we didnt realize that it was rainy season in November.

A great hotel
We stayed at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya for 5 nights in October 2009. The resort was great...spacious rooms, great pool and beach area. The pool staff and all the batenders were very attentive and entertaining (especially Islas!). The resort is within walking distance to Playa Del Carmen - even though its an all-inclusive resort it was a nice option to be able to walk to town for dining, bars and shopping.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Every aspect of our stay was wonderful! The hotel was beautiful inside and out, it was right on the beach with a beautiful view, the employees were very helpful and worked very hard, and it was a great place to relax and be pampered! We loved being inside Playacar and being within walking distance of shops, but we also ventured out to Tulum and booked a snorkeling trip. It was fun to try the different restaurants at night and we enjoyed drinks outside in the evenings as well. We definitely enjoyed the all-inclusive aspect and would recommend it to others!
