Nice grounds-no restaurant as led to beleive-its closed
Hotel front desk staff accomodating, grounds are lovely, restaurant as closed, no food on premises, had to go off the grounds anytime you wante food, we were led to beleive they had a great restaurant with crepe breakfasts, they had nothing. Bar was running out of alcohol near end of trip. No one will wait on you at the beach. Strange place, stay next door if you are stuck here unless you want to be the only guests at a hotel.

Beautiful hotel & grounds
We were very pleased with this resort. We were well taken care of. The main restaurant had a great selection of wines. We had a very good experience.

Beautiful beach and location, but...
... This is not American luxury, but it is in paradise. Tucked away between hills on three sides, the fourth side leads to a the beach that is private and pleasant. The beach was beautiful as were the grounds. The front desk staff were friendly, accomodating and helpful. The breakfast buffet was great, especially since it was an inclusion in the total price. Lunch and dinner were expensive and generally just fair. The bed was hard but manageable, and the bath tub/shower combination was different. Rooms otherwise were spacious and accomodating.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Rent a car at the airport, it is worth it. But shop the companies. Push each one for a better deal, even asking for an upgrade. They are interested in making a deal. Dining options in Grand Case, Orient Bay as well as Simpson Bay on the Dutch side are plentiful and excellent. Shopping in Marigot and Phillipsburg is very good.
