the price is right
It was quiet and conveniently located. I would have liked it more if the shower curtain was not moldy on the bottom. The workout equipment was not substantial enough to even use.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
If sandpoint fixes up the bike trail it will be nice to ride along part of the lake. Lots of road construction going on now (9/09). They should try and have a paved bike trail all around the lake. Town is geared strictly for cars. Lots of them.

Good hotel for the money
The only things that would have been better would have been if there were a pool and restaurant.

Decent place to spend the night
We have stayed at different hotels in Sandpoint and have learned that the noise of the passing trains cannot be avoided anywhere. At Days Inn, we had clean rooms (excluding the shower curtains), comfortable beds, and friendly hosts for a comparatively low price. We really liked it there.
