Excelente para turistas

My wife and I went to BAs on a business trip, and we were totaly happy with the overall hotel experience. It’s located near two pedestrian streets that get very busy with tourist at night and surrounded by great restaurants. It’s also very modeen looking, and you don’t have to worry about breakfast beacause it’s included.

Traveler's tip on dining

You will too many restaurant options for dinner within Lavalle street just one block away from the hotel!

Smallest room I’ve ever seen.

The people at the concept were really nice and helpful but the rooms were so small thaoutou couldn’t move. They also had construction across the street so aside from the noise you’d also have workers looking at you all the times. If you spend a night of 2 then maybe this may work but if you’re in Bsaires for a week or more then I would not recommend it. Aside from the hotel, the people at the reception were really nice. As soon as my wife and I checked in and realized that the place was not for us we broth it to the hot attention and with big surprise we were transfered to their sister and upscale hotel Rochester Classic. The hotel was just 2 blocks from the Concept and the room we ended ip getting was persons especially when compared to the Concept. There was a small difference in price but if was soooooo worth it. If I were to review the 2nd hotel then I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

Traveler's tip

Downtown Bsaires us really crowded and noisy so unless you like it, I would recommend to stay in historical San Telmo which is just 10 min walk frm the center.

Good hotel experience

I was quite impressed with the great service of the hotel staff. They did their utmost to accommodate all my needs: change large bills, arrange airport service, open up my safe, etc. The breakfast buffet was adequate with hot and cold food. My only issue was a standing shower with curtains which kept kept flooding the bathroom floor. If I return to Buenos Aires and book a hotel room at the Rochester, I would ask for a bathroom with shower doors.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Microcentro area and close to local attractions and shopping - convenient to walk to other neighborhoods in BA. Get a good map. Be careful with some taxi drivers who prey on tourists and claim your bills are old and no longer in circulation. They pick out a larger bill and claim they have no change. Check for the standard initial charge when you 1st get in. They usually park around tourist spots.

Nice hotel

The hotel was nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The outside of the hotel isn’t appealing but inside wasn’t bad. The complimentary breakfast had variety and tasted good.

Traveler's tip

I definitely recommend spending a few extra dollars to stay in Ipanema. Copacabana is congested and a little dirty.

Good location

The hotel is in a very good location and very convenient to go here and there. What is surprising is they include breakfast and lunch!! The decoration of the room is a bit cold for me. Overall is fine.

Great location

The best thing of this hotel is its location; it is very central and most attractions are walking distance. The room itself was very small but that’s the trend in any big city, besides hotels are just to sleep and have a shower... Since the room was very clean and the bed comfy, there were no dramas on this front. The breakfast, which was included in the rates, was great too. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

Walking distance to Puerto Madero and its great restaurants...Cabana de las Lilas is the dream of any meat lover!

Could have been much better

I got an upgraded room in this downtown hotel, yet the room was very small and the bathroom was tiny. There was a lot of noise from the street below (only cabs and buses during day hours due to local law) and from construction across the street. I was on the tenth floor off the street and it was still very noisy starting at 6 a.m. The room had a balcony which was nice but the lock/latch on the sliding glass door did not work. The glass shower looks nice but the door in my room did not keep water off of the floor, (a towel full of water each time) and it is so close to the toilet that you must sit sideways, if you know what I mean. The air conditioner ran most of the time even though it was not hot in the room. I ran into one woman who was leaving because the air conditioner in her room didn’t run ever. There were no controls for temperature regulation in either room. The maids knocked on the door at the same time every day sign or no sign, I finally told her to come back later after the third time, the next day she never came at all. I was up late every night and slept until after noon. Good breakfast, however not enough seating during the rush hour. Internet service Wifi on the ground/lobby floor only. No iron in the room, and laundry service was not cheap.

Not good

The first room they gave us was too little and had a terrible smell, so we had to change to another room. Rooms are very small, with very little space for luggage. Breakfast wasn not good.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Puerto Madero is great for dinner. Theater is excelent in Buenos Aires, go to Avenida Corrientes (a lot of theaters there).

Stay somewhere else until they finish construction

Overall the hotel was fine. The room is much smaller than it appears in the picture. But they offer free breakfast, and are very helpful. Unfortunately they have just started constructing a building across the street. Drilling, yelling, and banging starts every morning sharply at 7 am. You could think of it as a construction alarm - but I’d recommend finding somewhere else to stay until it is finished.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

I recommend staying in palermo. It’s very green with lots of restaurants, shops, and pretty homes. It’s close to parks and metro stops.

Enjoyable experience

The hotel was very nice and modern. We had problems with the elevator during our stay, which would not have been an issue expect we were on the 6th floor and the spiral staircase did not seem like a safe option to carry our luggage down. Other than the elevator being unreliable, the hotel was kept in good condition. Our room was clean and comfortable. The walls were a bit thin or else our neighbors were fairly loud.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

The hotel was located in a wonderful spot. It was in walking distance to the port, Florida Street, and other central tourist attractions. Also, one street behind on Esmeralda, there was a wonderful Italian restaurant called Broccolino.

Good for the money - avoid during hot temperatures

This isa great hotel for the price, except for one thing: Air Conditioning! Regardless of what the hotel staff comments on this page, it DOES NOT work. They have something that blows air, but is not cold. I called the front desk many times...nothing helped. So avoid during the warmer months (Nov-Mar) but is probably Ok for the rest of the year. Breakfast was good; internet is so-so.

Wouldn’t do it again

It’s reasonably good value if you take full advantage of included breakfasts and lunches, but... -- the location especially if you get a lower floor room near the front is seriously noisy. construction site right across the street if the buses aren’t enough and you’d like a cement mixer to further ensure no sleep past sunrise. -- the rooms have little space to store anything... after 2 weeks on a cruise ship I thought anything would feel like luxury, but really it’s not just minimalist it’s badly inefficient!! the boat had less total space but more sensible layout for putting away one’s gear.

Good standard, close to center and with a suprisingly good breakfast.

Except for the noice from Maipu street I was pretty much satisfied with my stay. The receptionist was very friendly and willingly to explain me how to get around the city. Breakfast was above average and had a high quality standard. Better than most other hotels in the middle price spectre. All around I was satisfied and would recomend it to someone visiting for a short stay.

A great place to stay ....

I went to Buenos Aires for Business and I found the hotel very well located, near everything... The front desk was very helpful and attentive. The breakfast was also one of the best. Everything is carefully prepared, and all of the foods were delicious. The room was good sized, nicely and cleaned I recommended

LIke a mouse trap

Last June My wife and I visited the beautiful city of Buenos Aires and when at hotel we found out that the room space is not enough for 2 peoples and 3 bags. No A/C on rooms, not to mention the bathroom, way too small from a tipical person.

You got what you paid for.

Overall, the hotel was good. The staff was bilingual and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent. However, the bed was small for two people and gave us a backache every morning. It wasn’t a luxury experience, but you get what you pay for.

Our hotel has been completely remodeled with a minimalist style. Rooms at Rochester Concept Hotel are equipped both with queen- and king-size beds; therefore, it is important for us that our guests inform us in which kind of room they are willing to be lodged at in order to meet and exceed their expectations.

worst hotel during my trip to South America

The room has no air condition control switch. No air condition provide during afternoon, and air condition will provide upon request at night time. The room and shower tub are so small, it even does not have luggage space, so each time I have to open and close my luggage if I need it. Bath towels are not clean. Lunch coupon sometime they do not want to issue.
