Student accomodation in a nice setting
Corrib Village is a small estate of semi-detached bungalows on the bank of the River Corrib. Each bungalow has four or five bedrooms, a large living/dining room/kitchen and a bathroom with shower and toilet. You could self-cater if you wanted to, but the restaurant provides breakfast and there is a takeaway and small shop as well on site. Accomodation is basic and usual beaten-up student appearance. You pay extra for wifi. A good place to sleep for a conference at the university (thats what I was there for). There is a free shuttle bus into the centre of town, but I didnt use it as I had my car.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Nice walk along the river.

Best Deal for the Price in Galway
The Corrib Village is a university dormitory that accepts guests during the summer. It has nothing more than dorm-like accomodation and no more should be expected. Bathroom facilities are shared with the next room. Its principal advantage is price, running a fraction of the cost of hotels or B&Bs. It is clean, if spartan, and as comfortable as such a place could be.

Lovely pillows
Better standard than I was expecting. Recommend if looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful. Bed is very comfy, shop on-site. Not too far from Erye Square.
