Impressed

I was actually impressed with this hotel. I had read some bad reviews on this hotel and was expedting a run down hotel but it was actually in really nice condition. It was kind of hard to get to but the room was really nice and check-in/out was fast and easy.

Fallen standards

Though this place seemed to be full of people, I think it is substandard in cleanliness and maintenance. The air conditioner looked dirty inside, what looked like mold covered the bathroom grout, the TV didn’t work at all, the kitchen counters had been burned from cooking and cigarettes. At first they put me into a smoking room, even though the reservation said otherwise. The sheets were clean and the bath water was hot. That’s all I can recommend. On some weekends they double the rate. The more I stay in places run by foreigners, the more I see the old American standard disappear.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

I found that if I stayed a little further out of town I can stay in a really nice bed and breakfast for the same money, and stay with people who care what your stay experience is like.

Nice place

Although the hotel is a bit out of the way from Tech - it’s nice enough. The breakfast is good and hot and lots of places to park. It’s a bit hard to get to it but I’d stay there again especially with the other hotels priced the way they are.

Don’t Stay There if you can help it.

The hotel room was not cleaned while I was there and the only thing I could see that had been done was the bed was made and the towels I showered with removed otherwise the rug was not cleaned at all.

Don’t try to save money by staying here.

Not for me

I checked into this motel at about 10:30 at night and immediately had flash backs to the scary movies I saw when I was a kid. When I was talking to my wife that night, I was telling her about the poor condition of this place and then I saw a huge beetle crawling on the floor toward my luggage. That was it. I checked out early and was grateful. This place was cheap, but the quality was not even worth the low price.

Don’t wait ’til the last minute to get a room for Parents Weekend

This hotel is not well-maintained. The room was dirty in spots. There was almost no toilet paper, and no tissue paper to be had. I had to ask for it the next morning (we stayed two nights). The one bright spot was that it was close to Texas Tech for the Parents’ Weekend football game, and had a room available. Next time, I’ll look for another place sooner.

Not satisfactory

This was not appealing at all our towels had stains on them, the TV had no sound/distorted picture, the microwave was grossly dirty, black mold on shower curtain(which I am highly alergic to and have a sinus/cough infection. I was very dissappionted and thought your company had higher standards. I would suggest removing them off your list for travelers.

Friendly Staff but Dirty

The motel staff was helpful and friendly but the room was rather dirty. They have a lot of migrant workers living in the motel. The road construction makes this place hard to find and hard to get in and out of. Long dirt roads.

If you want a decent room for a low price, this is it!`

A great motel for someone on a budget. If you have champaign tastes, you might not like it. The continental breakfast has juices, fruit, pastries, cold cereal and toast and jam. It was simple but very satisfying. The A/C worked great and the bed was comfortable. The room had a fridge and a microwave which allowed me to eat in and save some money. TV had a wide variety of cable stations. The staff was very friendly and accomodating during my stay. I was able to have a great time with the money I saved by staying here. This was my third time to stay here and I will stay here again the next time I’m in Lubbock.

So So slightly impressed

sink drain needed some work. carpet needed to be cleaned or replaced. there was smell when the air conditioner was turned off, so air had to be left on. mainly the hotel seem to be used for alot of live in use. some of the vehicles should have been tow away.

No impressed but it was inexpensive.

Hard to get to with road construction. Furniture in room scratched and plaster in bathroom needed repair, giving room shoddy appearance.

Decent hotel for the price.

The hotel was convenient to the TTU campus and was a good value for the price.

Comfortable stay

We were only passing through and stayed for only 8 hours but the staff was very friendly and the bed was extremely comfortable. Would stay there again. Good value.
