Pleasant Surprise

The hotel was clean and free breakfast was awesome. Beds were uncomfortable, internet was broken, Tv selection was poor. We HIGHLY recommend Mama’a restaurant 1k down the road!!!

If you know your way around Rome, okay. If not, STAY AWAY!

Way too far away from the center of Rome. Strange little hotel, although decent interior and room size.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Depending on where you’re staying, taking a taxi to/from the hotel isn’t a bad idea. People say it’s too expensive, but it’s really not, and it’s so much easier and less stressful.

Off the beaten path...

It is, as directions say, 200 meters from the train station. The hotel’s electricity was out when we got there, the beds were hard. That is it, all the negative. The staff was wonderful, polite, extremely helpful with directions and transportation. They also spoke English very well. The room was European basic, but SPOTLESS, as was the rest of the hotel. Beautiful tile in the bathroom, a large shower with good water pressure and very hot water if desired. The breakfast was fresh and delightful with: fruits&vegtables; meats&cheeses; pastries, breads,&cereals; a variety of beverages, great before a long day of walking. When the electric was working again,(didn’t take long), the air conditioning was up to American standards. Very helpful in 104 degree temperatures. There was a small refridgerator in the room. A small town square within walking distance. There were several small markets and restaraunts with good prices and service compared to Rome. A bank with 24hr ATM with good exchange rate. It felt like going home after a long day of walking and site-seeing. Very quiet, peaceful.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Bring luggage that has durable wheels, and not too heavy. The hotel desk has train tickets, A, 1-Euro ticket, will take you as far as you need to go into Rome, as long as you don’t go through the turnstyles and exit. Follow the signs to your connections. It also is good for any bus you need to ride for a total of 75 minutes. Make sure you validate ticket when getting on first train, either through turnstyle or on train itself, and on EVERY bus. Fines are heavy if you don’t.
