Relaxing Retreat

Hotel Villa Capuggi is a wonderful place to go if you would like a relaxing trip to Italy. The hotel is very clean, and the larger rooms are comfortable (but the classic rooms are very small). The staff is extremely nice and polite, but the hotel does not have many American visitors and even fewer who do not have a car (which we did not). There is public transportation, and we made an adventure out of using it, but it was a bit difficult to get consistent information from the hotel staff regarding the transportation. The pool and restaurant at the hotel are lovely, but bring your own beach towels, as they cost money to "rent" and you can’t bring your room towels. The food at the restaurant is delicious, but expensive. If you are adventurous, you can find many great restaurants in downtown Pistoia. Pistoia is a wonderful place to stay if you like being away from other tourists and want to have a genuine Italian experience.
