Great location, best deal

Hotel staff was great. Very nice and always ready to help. Location was perfect, right in the center of the strip easy to get to all the best spots. Didn’t eat there, but certainly had many choices to choose from. Back of the hotel is stunning. Makes you feel like you’re in Hawaii. Pool was great. Would definitely choose this site again.

This hotel is a great deal with a fabulous location. You can walk anywhere you need to get to, other than downtown.

Okay place

The hotel has a great location and is a classic, but it is nothing special in the way of service or rooms. If you are looking for a pretty good deal at the center of the strip and don’t care too much about details I would recommend it.

Location, location, location

The Flamingo is a decent value for the money. You can stay across the street at Caesars or down a couple of blocks at the Venetian for about twice as much. They are, without a doubt, nicer hotels. But X vs 2X for the length of your stay? If the extra money isn’t a big deal to you...stay at one of the nicer hotels. If it is a concern...the Flamingo is just fine. How much time are you spending in the room anyway? I would also recommend the updated GO rooms over the deluxe rooms. The beds are WAY more comfortable in the updated rooms. As for the location...right in the middle of everything....can’t beat it....especially if you flew in and didn’t rent a car.

Nice lodging

For the little time we spent in the room (we were in vegas) it was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a central location and within walking distance to just about everything we wanted to see. All in all it was a nice stay. I would stay there again.

NOT IMPRESSED THIS TRIP

WE HAVE STAYED AT FLAMINGO BEFORE, GOOD EXPERIENCE. THIS TIME CLEANLINESS WAS AWFUL, FLOOR UNDER BEDS NOT VACCUUMED, DUST EVERYWHERE, TV NOT WORKING PROPERLY. AND WE DID NOT GET THOSE DELICIOUS COOKIES ON OUR PILLOW AT NIGHT LIKE LASTIME. WILL BE STAYING SOMEWHERE ELSE NEXT TIME.

Love the location!

I love the location a little dissapointed in the condition of a few things in the room though..............the carpet was stained and the lights in the bathroom didn’t go with the fixtures and were just some light bulbs put up in place of what belonged there................everything else was clean and the veiw made up for everything else!!!

Not impressed, meals were way overpriced for the area.

If they want to keep hotel guests in their hotel they need to provide reasonably priced meals...two burgers and ice tea for $40.00 is insane!

Good value, but please beware - windows in the rooms do not open!

It was OK for the price, hotel is getting older, buffet was unexpectedly good. Older people might want to know - you can’t open windows in the room, air conditioner is the only source of the "fresh" air. Air conditioner could be set to only 65F or higher and fan could be only automatic, so it runs only couple of min, then turns off. It was not enough air for two of us in the room during the night. We went to Cirque du Soleil "O" show, it is worth no matter what you paid.

For the price, The Flamingo was a good value.

The grounds were gorgeous and very spaceous. We enjoyed the various food and drink venues. We wish we would have had a coffee maker in the room, but you needed to upgrade to qualify for this amenity. Otherwise, the room was very clean and the cleaning staff was very helpful. The room we stayed in could have used some updating, but was comfortable and very affordable. The location of the hotel was very convenient being located pretty close to the middle of The Strip allowing short walking distances to other hotels and show venues. I would recommend this hotel for those looking for a nice, convenient hotel at an affordable price.

If you get the chance, hop on a bus and go downtown for a fun-filled evening with free street shows, affordable drink and food, and an awesome laser lighted canopy over the street. Also, if time permits, check out Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam as a side trip using a charter bus service.

The Price was right!

A friend and I recently spent 3 nights. The casino was nice, resturaunts were good, there are coupons for the buffet and shows at this hotel in a coupon book free by the show booking center, which made the price of the buffet reasonable. The food was very good. The room was probably in the oldest section which needed new carpet, drapes cleaned and updated. The bed was comfortable though and it had hot water for showers. For the price we paid it was worth it, but not really up to par for the Vegas Strip. We stayed in and ordered room service one night and it took almost 2 hours to get as they said they were swamped. We thought this was not up to par either. The staff were all pleasant, but needs a little improvement.

Not the best experience

THE SERVICE WAS GOOD HOWEVER THE FOOD PRICES AT THE HOTEL RESTAURANTS WERE OUTRAGEOUS $4.00 FOR A CUP OF COFFEE IS A BIT OUT OF LINE WHEN YOU ARE ALREADY LOSING MONEY AT THEIR GAMING TABLES.THE STAFF AT THE FRONT DESK WAS GREAT THE OTHER CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFF HAVE A LOT OF ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT.

Dated but Convenient

The Flamingo is loated in the center of The Strip, so it is a convenient starting point on your way north or south to visit the other casinos. The casino itself is unremarkable. The room was nice and clean, but very obvious that it hasn’t been updated or remodeled in quite a long time. The bathrooms are especially lacking in upgrades. The shower head as well as the knobs had to be handled with care, as they seemed they could come out of the wall easily. The light bulbs in the fixtures on both sides of the mirror had been replace with flourescents, but it appears the old shades wouldn’t fit over them and they were just bare bulbs in sockets. All in all, you don’t spend a lot of time in your room in Vegas, so these things can be overlooked for some.

Stay elsewhere

We just got back form a short stay at the Flamingo....not very impressed.....We upgraded to a GO room, waste of money, no view, room was not cleaned...litter still scattered through room....room service tray outside door when we arrived.....was there for 3 days!!!! We had a late a flight out and asked for a little extra time in the room, so we didn’t have to haul luggage around Vegas....they tried to charge us.....we had lost roughly 3 grand on the tables and played for hours at Flamingo...they didn’t care.....so we checked out and went and got a rooom at a cheaper rate than "extending" our stay there....cheap hotel, but in Vegas, you get what you pay for.....We loved PARIS and NEW YORK, NEW YORK.......rewards work there too.....not many good things to say about Flamingo.....if you are going to go to Vegas, do yourself a favor and stay at on eof the newer hotels....worth every single penny.....Flamingo is about 1,000 years old, and it shows....

Do lunch at NEW YORK, NEW YORK......huge slice of pizza and a beer for under $9.00.....Flamingo is about $7 for a bottle of beer.....????

Perfect for first timers

The Flamingo was a good place to start for going to Vegas for the first time. The rooms were comfortable and the location made it easy to visit or gamble at the other casinos since a large portion were in walking distance. I would definitelt consider returning to the Flamingo on y nrxt visit.

Situated in an extremely convenient area...

I didn’t know what to expect, since it was going to be the first time staying there, but it is definitely a nice hotel, we received a bunch of useful coupons when we checked in. Not as expensive as the other ones around and you still get a perfect location in the strip area. I’m glad we picked it, our room was clean, no problems whatsoever, they even have a safety box inside your closet that you can setup to protect your valuable stuff, if you want or need to; the hotel’s buffett is something you have to try, really good, but if you don’t want to spend too much in food, there’s a food court with fast food just around the corner and a decent restaurant inside the "neighbor" casino with a great special after midnite!! what else do you want!! Can’t stop repeating how conveniently located it is!! I do recommend Flamingo Hotel as a good place to stay in Vegas!

Eating at the food court around the corner ( they have subway, burger king and some other places) can save you some money, especially if you are going with more family...

Not Impressed

I was greatly disappointed in the rooms. The sheets were scratchy, the pillows were junk, and the beds were very uncomfortable. The carpet was not clean, the corners and edges of the carpet were very dusty/dirty. I was disturbed by the stains on the walls and the dirty bathroom tile. Not a good experience.

rooms need update

I have stayed at the Flamingo at least 10 other times and now I say the rooms are getting old and they need updating. The bathroom was disgusting and the tub faucet dripped all night. I mentioned all of this to the desk when I checked out and the woman said she hears this all the time. So beware and stay somewhere else. Even though the location of this is the best it is not worth staying there again.

Vegas Flamingo

This hotel is in a prime location! Dead center on the strip was awesome. The service was great, friendly staff. You can definitely see the wear-and-tear on the rooms. No coffee pots, no fans in the bathroom. But, we weren’t there to spend the week in our room, so it worked great for us! The price was fantastic for the location!! I would go back.

We bought 3-day Deuce bus passes which was very convenient since it stops at all the major hotels and goes to Fremont St. We never waited more than about 10 minutes for a bus. And it was actually very cheap for all the rides we got!
