Excellent hotel in dynamite location. Walked to our cruise ship!
We have stayed here in the past. The hotel is very well maintained, We will always stay here when in Hong Kong, The breakfast buffet has everything for world travelers from dimsum to bacon and eggs; the variety rivals Las Vegas buffets. When we reached our room, we looked out the window and saw our cruise ship.

Not to Shangri-La workd class standards, but OK for the price
Reserved a river view room, arrived late and was given a rather worn room with a very partial river view. The bathroom was small and poorly laid out by todays standards. To be faie, we were told they were renovating a large numbher of rooms during my stay ... The staff, however, was very nice and upgraded me. So with that, the end result left me with a good impression of the hotel, but have to admit a renovation is long overdue.

Oasis of calm in busy bangkok
We were staying in the Krungthep Wing of the hotel in a room overlooking the river. We were so glad we ponied up the extra cash for this wing. We had room service breakfast every morning which was part of the room charge, we only paid a slight service charge and tipped the porter. The breakfast arrived on a rolling table which the porter set up. The food was delicious. All of the service staff were delightful and seemed to be extremely concerned that we would enjoy our stay. We had the concierge arrange a private tour with knowledgeable guide and private car of temples and palaces at a very reasonable price. Our stay was sublime!
