Good stay for the money
Older hotel kept in fairly good shape. Room was clean with newer carpet but bed was uncomfortable. Nice pool but hot tub not working during our visit (10/30/09). Location is convenient and just minutes from everywhere but surrounding neighborhood poor and rundown. Breakfast in morning was sufficient, cereal, bread, bagels,muffins, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, make own waffles (only 1 iron), and bisquits & gravy (not real warm), coffee, tea, & juice. The price is good for what you get. This was our 3rd stay at this location and would stay again.

affordable with a little luxury
Comfortable beds, clean shower, free breakfast, responsive front desk, nice pool area. Could use a bigger fitness center. Some of the guests looked a little scary, but were courteous.

Clarion on Route 161
We liked the fact that we had 2 queen size beds and a nice size room area. We were a little alarmed by a man lurking around the parking lot when we got back to the hotel late in the evening. We contacted the front office and someone went out to check. The hotel is withing walking distance to Bob evans, a Giant Eagle, Walgreens, Tim Horton’s, etc. and very easy access to 71. Only 5-7 minutes from the fairgrounds where we were attending a horse show.
