Le Manoir Hotel

Anglo-Norman country house built in 1911- was the family residence of the golf club founder- Allen Stoneham. Nowadays- converted to a 3 star hotel- Le Manoir- with its British charm- member of HOTELS AND PREFERENCE- offers the ideal venue for those seeking serenity and seclusion. In this peaceful setting- the restaurant serves fresh seafood specialties all year round. In the summer- enjoy your lunch on the sunny terrace. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy tennis on the hotel s hard court or swim in the spacious heated outdoor pool overlooking or at the nearby sandy beaches of Le Touquet. Cozy bar- snooker room and lounge complete the hotel facilities. The main attraction however- is the host of facilities on arrival. The golfers are exceptionally well catered for as Le Manoir Hotel overlooks its own golf courses ; two internationally renowned 18 hole golf courses and one 9 hole course ; *La Foret *course- inaugurated in May 1904 by Prime Minister Lord Balfour- spreads its fairways among pine trees. Calm and peaceful- it gives all golfers great moments of enjoyment. *La Mer* course- was designed by Harry S. Colt and ready for play in 1931. This challenging course is reminiscent of the Scottish links. It has hosted several times the French Open notably in 1976 and 1977. It was also the venue for the French Amateur Championship in 1986. Essentially laid out amongst the undulating dunes- exposed to the Channel winds- it offers wild landscapes to the golfer who dares. Last but not least- Le Manoir course- a genuine 9-hole- ideal for beginners and players who want to better themselves. The course features all the difficulties and the situations of the game. Together with a driving range- a pitching and a putting green it makes a perfect haven for golf schools.
