Best Option in Loreto/ Nopolo
When trying to book a hotel in Loreto I was torn between choosing a place in the actual town or staying at Nopolo. I wanted: A weekend birthday getaway comfort beach tranquility away from the usual crowds I see at CABO;currently living there. When arriving to Nopolo, which is where The Inn at Loreto Bay is located I was pleasantly surprised we got a great room the back door sliding door lead us straight to the beach. I could not ask for more...It was perfect! (the hotels at Loreto dont offer Ocean front just Ocean view, The Inn is an Ocean front hotel.) When we later explored the town;Loreto, just about 15 min. away (in car) we were glad we made our choice. For us The Inn at loreto bay had been the better choice. *We drove from cabo and missed the road to Loreto in Cuidad Constitucion, make sure you see it in the middle of the town, because that is the only place it is announced and you could end up in a small town 2 hours away, like we did.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
The Inn at loreto bay provides: kayaking, snorkeling gear, and bicycles; we recommend all three. A Must is visiting Coronado Island...you need snorkeling gear: White Sands, clear water and plenty of fish..beautiful! (Caution: there are Jelly fish and sting rays, with caution you can avoid them).

If Quiet is What You Want, This is the Place
Maybe because it was off-season but our stay at the Inn at Loreto Bay was quite uneventful. Not many activities to partake in. The restaurant was not opened for dinner so you had to trek into town every night. Scenery and hotel grounds are pretty but all the ongoing construction surrounding the hotel makes for a lot of dust. The town of Loreto was fun. Good food and some interesting sights. For a real adventure take a trip to the San Javier Mission but be forewarned, its a scary journey along a narrow dirt road around some steep cliffs. Take a 4-wheel drive. But all in all, quite a restful getaway which is what we wanted.
Traveler's tip on dining
Two places in town to eat at Mita Gourmet and 1697. Both very good and with drinks you can get under $80/couple US before tip.
