too much noise
this hotel is along the main street where you will hear cars and people throughout the night. the hotel staff was okay but they did not do much to be friendly or helpful. the rooms are simple but we found ants in the bathroom, otherwise it was pretty clean. the breakfast was mediocre at best and bread with jam. overall, this hotel was not that bad but the street noise was too much to get a good night of sleep. try getting a room in the back if you do stay here, but i wont go back.

Sorrentos gem
I booked this hotel based on previous reviews, proximity to the center of town, and price. What we got was a steal. We had a balcony that overlooked a pedestrian shopping street (no cars allowed.) The restaurants and shops made for an authentic Italian experience. Best of all, they closed at 11, so it was never loud when we were trying to sleep.

not great but very okay
Hotel del Corso is conveniently located on the main thru-street in Sorrento not too far from the train station and bus stops. You can walk it easily with rolling luggage. The staff there are very friendly and the hotel and rooms, while small, are very clean. breakfast was nice and on a terrace overlooking town. Our dissappointment was that the furnishings are a little tired and could use some updating - our bed had a broken leg and our toilet was missing the lid on the tank and turned in to our own private fountain when flushing...were not picky people but it kind of seemed like for the price those things shouldnt have been.
Traveler's tip on dining
dont miss the gelato selection a few doors down at Cafe Primavera - it will knock your socks off!!
