Mandarin Oriental Manila
I am a frequent traveler and looked forward to my first stay in a hotel of the chain. I got a fairly low rate on Expedia and booked the MO for 2 nights. I was very disappointed with the property, service was good but slow. I called for laundry service then shoe shine. The person who came to pick up my shoes after 30 minutes would not take the laundry and I have to wait another 30 minutes and make a couple more calls before someone finally showed up. The hotel is in need of a major renovation. Stained carpets, worn out draperies and quite far from what one would expect from a 5-star property. It is not bad but it is not good and personally I will not stay there again.

A welcome at the Mandarin Oriental Club
Youll enjoy the warm hospitality when you check in the Mandarin Oriental almost before you enter the stark but handsomely appointed lobby. However, if you get a chance to stay at the Executive Floor, you will feel very comfortable and pampered at the Club Lounge. It offers a cozy setting and a luscious view of the Makati skyline. Youll enjoy complimentary afternoon appetizers and light breakfast fare. The best is the staff concern about your comfort and genuine open friendliness. You will feel welcomed and at home during your stay in Manila.
Traveler's tip for business travelers
Bring your laptop since all wi-fi connections are complimentary at the Executive Floors

Not Impressed
The hotal was very dark in color, and presented a very somber mood, The prices at the reasruant were extremely high compared to out food facilites, and service presentation was poor. The area is very busy with car traffic, and you can hear this upto 7 floor. this is uncomfortable for business traveler and those not familar withthe area I would suggest all forgien travel stay above 9th floor
