"Surprisingly wonderful stay"
We stayed at the Aran Blu for one night after a 12 night cruise at the end of October 2009 because we had a early flight the next morning. We stayed in Rome for several days previous to our cruise, so we just wanted to relax after this whirlwind trip. This hotel was perfect for this. It was in a quiet apartment lined area across the street from the Mediterranean. We relaxed on our balcony soaking in the sunshine. We also had a view of the nearby marina where they had shops and restaurants. The service was also wonderful at this hotel.

gorgeous contemporary decor
and lovely sunset over sailboats and tiny strip of sandy beach...relaxing after the city.
Traveler's tip
I wish I had known that their earliest shuttle departure to airport is 6:30 a.m. Shuttle for 10 euros is a great deal compared to the taxi which was 30 (even at that crazy hour of the morning), but it was not available then.

A great little corner of the world
The hotel is right across the street from the beach. The hotels staff was beyond wonderful. The front desk had the bellman carry two lounge chairs over to the beach for us. It was heaven sitting by the water watching the people on the boardwalk go by. The continental breakfast is not bad and you can even get a pretty good cappuccino. There is a small shopping mall and marina with just about everything you could want right across from the hotel front door. The rooms are all updated and clean but a little small. As far as I could tell, every room has it’s own balcony.
