Paying for Parking that is to be secured but had vehicle broken into things stolen Police and Hotel staff not helpful at all. Would never stay in this hotel or Newark every again.

enjoy my 2 day stay, comfortable room, and convient, great schuttle service to NYC. and location to the Newark airport, short ride. and very helpful staff.

It is what it is

I just needed a room with a bed...just the basics. If thats all you are looking for, then theres nothing wrong with this hotel. Dont expect any luxury at all. Convenient because its right by the airport and theres a shuttle.

Would never return

First, I must say, my fiance and I are not picky travelers. So, we got a great online deal for a wedding in NY. We had planned on the inconvenience of taking the free hotel shuttle to the airport in order to take the train into the city, and thought it worth the price. That would have been the case if the hotel had any customer service, or if the hotel shuttle was at all reliable. There was no set schedule, and if the shuttle was not in front of the hotel, the front desk’s response was always "10-15 minutes." Well, it was never just 10-15 minutes. One time we were in a rush so we asked for them to call a taxi. They called a car service that they obviously have a connection with. Not only did an 8 mile drive cost $25 (no meter), we literally saw the hotel shuttle parked on the side of the road with the driver’s seat reclined and the driver...napping? We were furious and immediately called the hotel, but they never apologized and refused to believe us. The shuttle reliability was even worse late at night. We realized that with the price we paid, we couldn’t expect much more, but I saw that the non-online price was more than double, which we would never pay for this hotel. Regardless of service, the hotel smelled like stale smoke, the rooms were dingy and rundown, and there is nothing in the area to walk to/see. The hotel restaurant staff was very friendly, but the food was terrible and overpriced. All in all, we’d rather pay the price for a hotel in the city next time.

Very clean

The room and bath was immaculate. The airport shuttle was very prompt.

You will need a GPS to lacate this Hotel!!

Management was very helpful with directions to local events however, getting to and from the hotel from Newark much like using your left hand to scratch your right shoulder blade. You can not return to the hotel the same way from any other location.

You will need a GPS JUST TO GET AROUND THIS AREA!!!

Paying for what you get

The hotel was easy to get to, thanks to the shuttle from the airport. The hotel was cheap but just remember your not staying at the hilton. Just wish they had a bar so we could of started our vacation off with a few drinks.

Don’t stay here

If you are visiting NY and want to stay here because of the cheap price - it’s not worth it. They charge $15/night for parking and with traffic it takes forever to get to the city. Plus they tried to charge us again for parking when checking out when we already paid in full when we checked in. Another traveler said public transportation takes long as well. The room, it’s not like it was dirty or something was on the sheets or anything but it just didn’t have that clean feeling to a hotel room. The room stunk of who-knows-what and the towels weren’t completely dry and smelled like clorox. The neighborhood is very ghetto. Overall VERY unpleasant experience. Staff weren’t even nice. They have a refrigerator and a microwave though. No flat screen TV - just a very old non-flat one.

yes the hotel is a litle outdated....but honestly other than that we had no issues at all. we went to the airport every morning via hotel shuttle to penn station into nyc and did the same thing in the evening coming back...no problems...sometimes the shuttle was a little slow...but????? room was clean, hotel staff was friendly, the restaurant on site had decent food....microwave, fridge, coffee in room....i have absolutely no complaints and best of all...price was great!!!! a cheaper way to visit NYC on a strict budget!!!!!!

AM Stay

Kindly review your internet access service, not recommended for business as remote access to corporate system is disconnecting every 5 min. Furniture is getting old but generally stay for a low cost option is ok.

It is a good hotel if you look at the price that you pay for.

The hotel has good rooms and It is very comfortable. I liked to stay there. I made a mistake because I was looking for a hotel close to New York and, even though you can get New York by shuttle to the Newark Airport, bus to Penn Station, and the train), it took a lot time to get there. The tax to get the New York Airport costs 100 boxes.

The best way to get New York is by bus.

Fine for a night

Nothing special, but no problems either -- We arrived late from Newark Airport and checked in, took a shower, and fell asleep almost immediately. It was affordable, basic, and we were able to get moving the next day without any trouble. Definitely a good choice if you want a clean room, and you don’t need gold water faucets.

well the first impression sucked already...the first question was "do you need a shuttle in the morning to the airport?", well "yes"..."well we are overbooked"...I paid in advance and they wanted to send me to another hotel with no shuttle service...back and forwards, they gave me finally a room how I booked a month prior...first shock the bathroom...the whole sink area was full of blue toothpaste and hair in the shower...no way I would have taken a shower with out my flip flops...other regular guest told me the next morning though, this is not very common...well I’m not coming back!

Excellent hotel, nice service.

The hotel is excellent. The service is O.K. The rooms are very clean, and too many confortable. The hotel is properly for bussines, becaus is close to the airport, and it has all the service that a guest can need. I go back when I need.

The hotel is confortable, and has the enought services for doing bussines trip. There is less than 15 minutes from the airport, and the shuttle is available for the transport. The people is friendly, and give all the support.

Good quality for reasonable price

Hotel is very well located fot those who come for shopping. It is closed to Jersey Garden outlet mall, you can take the free hotel shuttle bus to Newark airport and then shuttle bus to the mall. The NY city center is easy to reach...it takes just 20min from the EWR airport using the train.

Near from Newark airport, so it’s esasy to go where you want, because you can take the shuttel to station P4 at the airport to get the train to the rail station to go to New york or to Philadelphia

Poor condion of carpets, doors need painting, from 1-10 where 10 is the top performer,this place goes for a two only. Never again Expedia.

Not that Convienant

First of all, it’s not that close to the airport. It cost 20bucks for a cab ride, unless you where aware of the FREE 24hr shuttle (which we weren’t). Second, the charge you another 20bucks for early check in. Really? Who does that!! The room itself, is quite small, it takes A LONG time to get anything from guest services, we had to call multiple times for towels. They didnt really clean up the room as most hotels do. For example, for our entire stay only once did they make the bed and at that, only one of the beds! If you are staying here because it’s cheap, well that’s pretty much what you’ll get. They have a 25buck round trip to NY City (per person) at set times, i wouldnt say it’s a rip off persae, it’s just depends on how often you want to go to NY. What we found out is you can take the FREE shuttle to the airport on hop on a train to the City or use the bus from the airport to take you to NEWARK PENN STATION, that’s what we did. Unforuntatly it took a lot of time. I highly recommend if you are flying into NEWARK and are wanting to visit NY, you are better off paying a little more and staying in the city.

Clean, but old. Similar to a European style 3 star hotel

Clean Hotel for what they have to work with. You could smell bleach cleanign solution because it’s just an old hotel from the 70’s. You can’t clean old when it’s already past the point of replacement. Just old -- mismatched furniture, and old treadmill from the 70’s -- it worked, but come on, appearance is everything. I got what I paid for so I can’t complain. I was being cheap booking this hotel and that’s what I got. Old and cheap.

Close to airport and easy transportation to NY city. Airport noise but it was quiet at night.

We will use this hotel again

I was impressed with the hotel interior and how quiet is was being so close to the airport, at night, we didn’t hear anything, and hardley heard the planes during the day. And we were accross from New York City we had a beautiful view of the New York City skyline, especially the Empire State Building.

Dismal hotel, hidden parking charges

Dismal hotel next to the toll plaza, very hard to find. The night clerk was bordering on brain dead. Vehicle parking cost 15 a day, which they don’t tell you about until you’re there. First room smelled like death was it’s previous occupant. I wouldn’t reccomend for anything other than a cheap overnight stay due to flight complications

Not impressed

Not a bad stay if only need a night. Room service slow, no continental breakfast and $15 per day parking charge. Not in great part of town.
