Charming hotel in convenient location
The hotel is somewhat small and with no A/C, but its charming and clean. The first couple nights we were in a standard room facing the street. It was extremely noisy even at night, and if you closed the window it improved but then it gets stuffy. But then I realized I had already paid for a deluxe garden view room so I had that switched that right away. It was much better, as you wouldnt be able to hear any street noise, and plus you get a nicer view of the garden below. Most of the staff is quite friendly, and we were allowed to use the courtyard without buying anything. Its also quite convenient - across the street is a grocery store if you need to get bottled water, the Louvre is about a 45min walk south - walking down rue de Clichy or rue dAmsterdam reveals a lot of quaint small businesses (bakeries, bistros, bakeries,.. ). It is also very close to Montmartre which is a nice place to see and also has the Basilique de Sacre-Coeur.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
If you stay at this hotel, make sure you get the garden view. I cant imagine anyone being able to sleep facing the street. If you need a break from the not-so-cheap food around Paris, get a whole rotisserie chicken from the butcher shop (boucherie) right next to the hotel, grab a baguette from Landemaine (down rue de Clichy) and some salad from the grocery store, and ask for some plates and utensils from hotel and enjoy in the courtyard. Very cheap, enough for at least 2 people.

Nice Parisian room in a great location
The hotel is one of those small Parisian hotels situated on a quiet street in MontMartre (great location) and very close to the Metro - very convinient. The room is small and basic like most rooms in Paris but has a local atmosphere and overlooking either the quiet street or the back garden surrounded by neighboring buildings. No A/C in the rooms but nice breeze from a big window. The room is very comfortable but if youre looking for fancy - this isnt it. Breakfast is served at the garden and the staff is nice and helpful. Recommended.

Simple, clean, quaint, close to metro, good value
I enjoyed the value of the hotel for what it provided. My room was very simple: double bed, small desk, TV, bathroom, and an area for storing luggage/clothes. Since we didnt spend much time in the hotel at all, it was a good place to come back to sleep and bathe. It is also very close to a metro stop, which is great. The only drawback is that the hotel is in a very noisy area. Sirens went off about every 5 minutes in the streets and there was a lot of neighboorhood noise. Place de Clichy is always busy with traffic, but if you can handle this, its fine. Also, the hotel is not in the Montmartre area, though it is fairly close to it.
