Le Mas de Galoffre

Not recommended to tourists!

1. Too far from Nimes. We spent hours to find the way to the hotel. Then, it was too complicated to go out to the city and to find the way back. 2. The stairway is "problematic", and hard to go up & down. No elavator existed. No rooms at ground level. 3. The room door was squeaky, and it was not cured immediately. 4. One bed was insecure. But: 5. They have pleasent garden with tables.

Bad Motel!!

First, it was difficult finding the property. Because no number was given with the address, our navigation devise could not find it. After driving around Nimes for about 2 hrs we discovered it out in the country. We reserved a 4 person room only to arrive & find all those taken. We were put in a cramped, dirty, depressing 3 person room. No air conditioning like it says. The pool was filled with dead bugs. It was very run down. The beds were like sleeping on concrete. Could not wait to leave in the morning!!

OK, clean, with rustic charm, but not the most comfortable

3-person room was clean and functional, but cramped. Overall repair is OK, but lacking in a few instances (broken wood near door lock, tool needed to extract plug in bathtub, etc.). Lack of A/C made sleeping difficult in mid-summer. Very noisy wedding party held in back of hotel courtyard lasted all night -- awoken by partiers and music at 4:30 AM.

Traveler's tip

Don’t confuse this 2-star hotel with the 3-star hotel that is adjacent, on the same property, and with a similar name.

Not two star quality

We often stay at two-star hotels, but this one was way below normal standards. It looks and smells very, very old.... and if you move on the bed, so does anyone else on the bed. Lights flashed on and off, breakfast was ok but not good. And I do not recommend using the downstairs bathroom which hadnt been cleaned in what appeared to be an eternity. Very unsatisfied with this experience.
