Hard to find
The hotel was nice and clean but with construction it was almost impossible to find.

Nice location, clean room, 3 blocks on pedestrian street to Metro
Quiet room, Close to south train station, 3 blocks down pedestrian street to Metro, Shops and grocery store near by. English speaking front desk. Get a 1-3 day transportation pass at the metro stop machine (english-option) and ride the metro, trams, and buses everywhere.

Would Recommend This Hotel
The Delta Hotel was a pleasant hotel close to the South Railway Station and close to a nice pedestrian street and plaza. The metro was also close and accessible, so all of the sights of Vienna were easy to get to. The desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable with a great view of the railway station if you are a rail fan. Unfortunately, breakfast was not included and it took a lot of our failing American dollars to eat there.

Bad Value for Money
Hotel Review: Having staid in over 100 hotels before of 3 to 5 stars, I would rate this hotel as a 2.5 star for the price of a 4 star. No mini-bar, no free internet, no room service, no bathroom kits, no pen and paper in the room. The safe in the room does not work. They have a vending machine in the basement like a crappy Motel in the middle of the desert. Unless you get a super cheap deal, don’t stay there.
Try as much as possible to stay in a centrally located hotel. Make sure your hotel is in front of a metro station (close by means 2 miles away so beware). The metro closes around midnight, so if you plan to stay out and have fun, you will get stuck and pay a fortune for a taxi if your hotel is far. So pay a bit more and stay somewhere close to the city center.

Pretty Good
Hotel was clean and room very nice. Hotel staff was not very friendly. Information about hotel location made it difficult get there.Had to take expensive taxi. Once at hotel discovered it wqas close to inexpensive but nice airport bus service. Hotel would be wise to make this information available to guests ahead of time.

Overnight stop
We choose the hotel Delta for the location. We were traveling by train from Prague to Venice and choose to break the trip for 1 night in Vienna. The Hotel is approx. 500 meter walk from the Sudbonhof train station and very near the metro stop. We arrived at 1pm and departed and 12 noon the next day and still had time via the subway and trams to see many sights in the city. Room was not fancy but was clean and realtivley quiet when you consider it’s location on busy road near train station.

Excellent Hotel
When I booked this hotel I was not sure what was going to await us, but we were suprised to find a wonderful hotel with pleasant and helpful employees. If ever we go back to Vienna we will use this hotel again and we can recommend it highly.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
This hotel is located in a very central location and when you get a Vienna 72 hour card it will be very easy to get around in the city

Clean hotel with good location, but without double beds
Overall we were quite satisfied with Delta hotel. The hotel premises are new and clean, and our room had also some view of the city. The location is also very good; only a 7 minute walk from the the subway stations Keplerplatz and Sudbanhof that take you to Vienna’s center in 10 minutes. It is also close to the Belvedere, the palace with a rich array of Klimt’s paintings, and close to a supermarket, coffeshops, and a small shopping mall. One element we did not like about the hotel is the fact than the double bed they describe in expedia is actually two single beds side by side. Even the bed covers are single, and it is not very comfortable when two people want to actually share the same bed. I think this should at least be specified by the hotel management in their description. Breakfast is not included in the Expedia price, and if you would like to pay and have breakfast at the hotel it is quite expensive. Oh, and there is no room service and no mini bar, which is quite bad for those of us with midnight cravings!

Comfortable and convenient
Located within a 10min walk from Suedbahnhof and 5 min from the U1 Station Suedtirolerplatz this hotel is excellent for exploring the city if you do not have a lot of time in Vienna and, like us, need to take early trains or an early airport bus. It is also located next to a big shopping street. The first room we got smelled like smoke and the heater didn’t work. However, the staff quickly provided a different room. The Expedia rate does not include breakfast. The hotel is new and the rooms look nice. The showerhead was broken but that was such a minor inconvenience that we didn’t even report it. Check in was fast and the staff was very friendly. Overall this was an excellent value.
