Served my purpose....
If your goal is a bed, shower, and place to say while you are out in the town, then this hotel will do. If you want something "nicer," perhaps not. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly/helpful and the location was near the train station/port. On the negative side, the area was a bit noisy and the bathroom was much smaller and more inconvenient to navigate than the picture appears.

Very friendly & helpful staff
I found the Borgo Antico located in a okay, not fine, location. Close to train & bus stations and Circumvesuvius but far enough away from that poor area. Easy walk to main areas of town. The staff was very friendly and helpful during my week-stay, like called for information on bus routes & train schedules and provided answers to the majority of my questions concerning historic areas and had a computer available for the remainder. October being off-season, breakfast (chosen personally from an amble list) was served in my room and no hassle about extra coffee or such. For the practical & thrify traveler I would recommend the Antico Borgo Hotel.

There are 1-day and 3-day passes available that include all train & bus travel in the greater Naples area. Accross from Cicumvesuvius Station & close to this Hotel is a small grocery for water & food stuffs.
