Good hotel, great location
This Hotel, while not so fancy, or "high brow" was quite good with respect to the helpfulness of staff. The AC worked excellent, once I alerted the staff and the tech guy jimmyd it. The location was great, if you want to visit the souks and medina (old city), which quite frankly is all that interested me. Literally, 200 metres from Jemaa Fna, so I could periodically get out of the 40-45 degree (celsius) heat, and put back any purchased items so I didnt have to carry them. The room seemed a bit insecure due to the door lock mechanism, but all was good for me--and numerous times the staff asked me to see my keys to verify I was a guest, so thy were on the ball you could say, as to who was in the hotel. all in all I would recommend to anyone who wants to experience Marrakesh and the old medina, but the other hotels in the "new city" might be indistinguishable from those in say, the US or Europe.

Perfect Location for the Old Town
While this is an old hotel with minimal amenities and small rooms. The upstairs restuarant overlooking the Mosque and the location near the Djemaa El Fna and Souks make it a perfect location. Would stay there for this reason only. Breakfast buffet is provided but is minimal with basic breads, fruit, oj and coffee. If you speak english expect a bare minimum for communication.
