Not bad
Great location for exploring San Gimignano area. Hotel staff are quite friendly. Lovely grounds and perfect for kids as there’s a lot of room for them to run around, as well as there being a slide and swing. The rooms are a bit run down, but otherwise are fine.

Run! It may be cheap but it needs a facelift and a major smile infusion
This place is a not really a dump but it makes you contemplate mediocrity, and on vaction that’s not how I want to spend my time. Yes, its cheap. Yes, things get done. But JEEZ its like pulling teeth to get anyone to smile. I wouldn’t go back here for free. The place hasn’t been redone since it was made back, I’d guess, in the 60s or so. And it feels so...yukky. The did get extra pillows we requested and they have more than one choice. They didn’t have two of the foreign TV stations they were supposed to have and which they advertise in their own paperwork. The view was over a parking lot, where construction of a neighboring building began promptly each day at 7:30 am. There was free breakfast buffet and IHT newspapers. This hotel was a real loser though and I’d never go back myself so I can’t recommend it to you. Compared with the other three hotels we stayed in between Bologna, Verona, Venice and here it places dead last.
